Chaper 14

Peter and I walked out of school together and headed towards Delmar's.

"See, it wasn't that bad, was it?" He asked

"Not as bad as I was expecting" I said truthfully as we entered the shop and went to the counter.

"Two of the usual please" peter said, we always ordered the same when we were younger. We go our sandwiches and strolled along the street.

"Yummm, that really took me back." I smiled as I finished my sandwich.

"I've missed this it's really fun." He replied.

I felt something wet drip on my head. It was starting to rain. Very heavy rain.

"Quick, follow me, we can go back to mine, it's like 6 blocks away." He grabbed my hand and pulled me along the path.

We arrived at his apartment building and ran up the stairs. He unlocked the door and we collapsed inside, laughing like animals. I realised I hadn't been in here in so long.

"Pete, you can let go of my hand now" I giggled as he snatched his hand away, "uuuugghh, I'm soaked! Do you have any spare clothes by any chance?" I was way to tired and to use my powers, and I kinda wanted to wear one of his big, warm hoodies. He nodded and went into his room. He came out with some sweatpants and a hoodie.

"You know where the bathroom is," he said, gesturing to the door down the hall. I went in and got changed. Man, his hoodie was so warm. I may be stealing it at some point. I texted Tony saying that I was going to stay at Peter's till the rain passed, which didnt seem like soon.

I walked out to see Peter putting 'Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back' on for us to watch. I sat down and he wrapped his arm around me so I put my feet up and snuggled into the blanket. He was such a good friend and I was lucky that he was always there for me.

I looked into his eyes and he stared back.
Then it hit me...
I still like Peter Parker.

He started to inch closer and closer. I could feel his breathing on my face.

"Hey Peter! I'm home!" It was May. The moment was broken as I leapt to the other side of the sofa, just as May entered the room.

"Y/n? Oh my god, I was wondering when when I would see you again! Peter told me everything. I'm so sorry about what happened."

"It's ok, it's nice to see you again too!" I smile, i don't like people pitying me.

"Ok, well, I'll leave you two to your movie" she said, heading to the kitchen. She was so sweet, like what I would like my mum to be like, but I wish she had come a bit later. I turned my attention back to the movie.

When Star wars finished, the rain still hadn't stopped.

"You wanna stay here?" Peter offered as if he had read my mind.

"If that's ok?"

"Of course!" He said, leading me to his room. "Top bunk or bottom bunk?"

"Bottom please" I was so tired so I just curled up in the duvet. "Peter?"

"Yeah"

"I'm still getting nightmares, I try not to but it makes me scared to go to sleep"

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want to worry you"

"Do you want me to come sleep down there instead?"

I dont mind, you dont have to but-"

"No, it's ok I will," he interrupted, climbing down the ladder and into my bunk. I instantly relaxed in his presence. It was only a few minutes before I fell asleep in his embrace.
