Song Rec. - Broken Hearted Melody by Sarah Vaughan

We ate our breakfast, luckily it wasn't cold enough to toss out as we sat at the table.
Bucky filled me in on what happened at the warehouse that they found John at, and how things just weren't right with Sam and him right now.
The drama of the shield was ruining things for them, in some way, I felt like it was on me as well.
I mean I wasn't supposed to tell Sam about John getting the shield, but maybe if I would've then he would have never given up.
Despite if Sam didn't voluntarily give up the shield I knew John had doubts about becoming Captain America himself.
I think, either way, John would've become Captain America though.
"Steve and I didn't think about all of this crap when he said that Sam should have the shield." Bucky put his fork down on the empty plate, taking a drink of the orange juice as he had a look of contemplation.
"That's not your guys' fault, okay." I put my fork down as well, pushing the empty plate over as I laid my arms on the table, leaning forward. "But you need to let Sam know that you're on his side. In any decision he makes."
Bucky thought it over, nodding his head as he leaned back on the chair.
"I know, I just don't want to lose the shield."
I knew that already, but the way his eyes softened when he looked up at me, I saw Bucky reaching a breaking point of emotions.
I got up from my chair, pushing it back with my legs as I walked around the table to Bucky, whose melancholic eyes followed my moves.
Giving him a small smile I stood in front of him, bending over and picking up his hands to make room for myself on his lap as I straddled myself onto him.
"I don't remember Steve very much..." I began, placing my palms on his bare chest as I looked at Bucky, "but I do know Sam, and if you and Steve knew that he deserved it that much then maybe Sam was always more important to the both of you."
His eyes drew down to my chest, his face scrunched up as he was thinking, running his hands up and down my thighs as he stayed silent for a moment.
I knew Sam. Of course not as long as they did, but long enough to see how valuable he was to have as a partner. I could really see how much of a good man that Sam was, and I knew Bucky could too.
He finally looked back up at me, a look of relief sweeping over his face as he smiled. "You always know what to say Doll."
My lips pulled to a smile as well, running my hands up his chest to his neck, feeling his stubble under my hands.
"You know I could get used to you being around here-" I looked down at his bare skin, running a hand down it as I smirked, "-shirtless, and just...here."
His grip on my sides tensed up for a moment, a wide grin on his face as I returned one.
"I'm serious, it's refreshing."
A chuckle came from his throat, eliciting one from me as well.
Bucky's face softened then, admiringly gazing at me as I smiled shyly at him.
Any look from Bucky, and I was melting like butter.
"Maybe after this is all over, we could-"
"Live together?" I continued, hoping that he meant that as well as I fidgeted with my fingers, laying them on his lower abs.
