Ch. 30

Jung Kook was angry. The love of his life rejected him and that made him want to kill anyone in his way. She was right there, vulnerable and alone. She rejected him. Pushing him away when he could give her all that he can. More than Jimin ever could. He was so pent up with a lot of anger, he kicked trash cans over and cursed at random people walking the streets. Jimin was still giving him the cold shoulder but he didn't mind that. His plan worked. He knew Jimin couldn't stay away for more than 4 days and he would break any day. He was predictable and he did everything like clock work. Drink a cup of coffee in the morning, clean up a bit, jog for twenty minutes then go to work but first he'd stop by 7/11 and get himself some noodles and shrimp crackers, then go about his day at work.

Of course, Jung Kook couldn't do anything inside the building. Ever since Jimin opened his mouth to the police about receiving his texts, Police have been monitoring just outside. So he decided to go out and take out his anger on a random, innocent, stranger. Jung Kook wore a mask as he followed a young woman. She looked about the same height as Ji Eun but had darker hair and wore glasses. She looked familiar to him. He removes his mask and holds it in his hand.

"Isn't that... Ji Eun's friend? So Hee?" He hurries his steps. "She looks so different." An idea sparked in an instant. She can be my next victim. He throws his mask into the trash can and calls out her name. "So Hee! So Hee!"

She turns around and sees him running up to her. She was frightened but also relieved to see that it was Jung Kook. Honeslty speaking, she always had a thing for Jung Kook. She's only met him a couple of times when she was at the convenience store, getting herself some groceries. It was sad to hear the passing of Yeo-Ra. She wasn't a nice woman but she was nice enough to let her charge some groceries for her dad's 45th birthday. It wasn't until a week ago that she found out Jung Kook was Jimin and Ji Eun's friend who also lives in the apartment they do.

"Company." She says with a small shy smile. Patiently waiting for Jung Kook to catch up.

"Hi So Hee."

"Hey Oppa." She and Jung Kook begin walking. "What are you doing?"

"Oh, just going out for a little walk." Jung Kook smiles. Oh how much So Hee adored that smile of his. It amazed her how he was still single. "And what are you doing out this late?"

"It's only ten o'clock," she chuckles. "And I'm on my home. I was supposed to be picked up by Seo Min Gyu but he bailed on me."

So Hee tried to mask her sadness with a cheerful smile but Jung Kook knew it too well. He rolled his eyes and played the comforting role once again.

"Yeah, Ji Eun wasn't having a good day." He looks down at his shoes as they walk. "And I'm sure he was just nervous. After all, if I were going to pick up someone as hot as you, I'd probably bail too."

"Pardon?" She was surprised.

"I mean, I'd be just as nervous if I were Min Gyu. You're pretty." Jung Kook admits truthfully. He wanted to lie but he couldn't. She was indeed pretty. It was like she was made for him in a way. He can feel her soft aura that had a light color to it. But his heart belonged to the one girl he met at the bar in New York. Aryanna Ji Eun Kim.

So Hee blushed at the compliment and looked up at him as they walked side by side.

"You're an eye candy yourself, oppa." The two walk across the street. Making it into a different district. Jung Kook hadn't realized they walked away from Hauendae District.

"I'm surprised you're single. Are you seeing anyone?"

Jung Kook is brought out of his thoughts by that question. What? Is she interested in me? He chuckles and nods his head yes. So Hee was disappointed and sad.
