You were invited to your neighbors birthday party. You sat on the sofa, holding a plate of red velvet cake and white frosting. Jimin had a poster above his living room entrance saying 'Happy 23rd Birthday' and some streamers around it. A couple friends of his, whom you hadn't met before, sat around or talked with one another. It seemed like he had invited the whole floor to his self thrown birthday party and was enjoying it. You smiled at the others who greeted you.

"You haven't eaten your cake yet Ji Eun. Are you alright?"

Jimin asks you as he takes a seat beside you, sipping his red cup of orange juice. You smiled at him and nodded your head. You felt fine. You just didn't know what to get him as a gift. Judging by the looks of his attire and of his furniture, he seemed to fancy the color blue. Light blue.

"I just... I feel bad not having to bring you anything for your birthday."

Jimin chuckles and shakes his head gently.

"Awe, it's alright. Besides, presents for a 23 year old is kind of too much."

You chuckle and take a small bite of your cake, nodding at how delicious it was. The cake was moist and had a savory red velvety taste, the frosting added more zing to it as well. Sung Jin looks over to his right and sees his other neighbor who greeted him with a smile that resembled a bunny's. You sat silently, eyeing the man candy that gave the birthday man a small gift.

"You made it!"

Jimin chimes and gives the guy a bro hug and does a small handshake with him. Compared to him, this guy was much taller, a bit more handsome and had a deeper voice. Not that Jimin's was any less but, he spoke soft like he was speaking to an infant and you liked it. But the other's voice was surprising to you since he seemed like a very kind person.

"Happy birthday Hyung."

The guy says, both men ignoring your existence. Not that it bothered you but a part of you wanted to get noticed by this guy. His eyes were so doe like. His smile was enchanting. His ebony hair was silky and combed. He attracted you with his beauty and you never expected yourself to fall instantly for some stranger you met at Jimin's party. You continued to eat your cake, trying not to be very obvious about wanting to be noticed.

"Oppa? Can I have a napkin?"

You ask kindly as you had frosting smeared on the right thigh of your jeans. Jimin and the stranger stop talking to look at you. That's when he finally notices you and widens his eyes as if he just got hit with surprise. Jimin looks down at your frosting covered jean and nods his head before walking off. The other guy smiles down at you and sits down, bowing before he does so.

"Hello there. My name is Jeon Jung Kook."

You can feel your cheeks becoming warmer, you knew you had to be as pink as a crayon and you looked down. Feeling a small flutter in your stomach.

"I live on the same floor as Hyung. My apartment is just 4 doors down."

You remained silent. Only because you were too shy to even squeak a single word. You smiled at him and looked around, trying to distract your eyes so they don't land on him for the fifth time. He sensed something was wrong. Maybe she doesn't like me. He thought as you looked at him and cleared your throat.

"I'm very sorry. I don't mean to seem uninterested, I'm just shy."

You smiled as friendly as possible and he smiles back, nodding his head as he rubs the back of his neck. When he did this, you saw his bicep flex and you were drawn to it.

"Oh good. I thought you didn't like me."

    You both nervously chuckle.

"You're new here aren't you?"

"Yes. How did you know?"

"I've lived here for a year and I've never seen you around."

You nod your head and see Jimin coming with a blue napkin in his hand, smiling as he makes his way towards you both. Finally. You thought as you smile at him and set your cake down on the coffee table. Jung Kook looks up and smiles at his hyung who hands you the napkin and you wipe up your mess.

"Thank you Oppa."

You say to him as you get up to throw your napkin away in the nearest trash bin. You can hear the two men whisper to each other about you. You blushed knowing Jung Kook had a small interest in you and adored your skin complexion, your hair which was styled down and your outfit. You walked back, trying to hide your blush by patting your cheeks lightly as if you were sweating which you might since Jung Kook kept staring at you.

"I didn't catch your name."

He smiles as he eats his cake that Jimin gave him. You realized he was right.

"Oh right, sorry. My name is Aryanna." You smiled. "But you can call me Ji Eun."

"Ah?"

Jung Kook paused, not understanding what you told him. You forgot not many people are familiar with pronouncing your English name. You blushed even more when Jimin started chuckling and explaining to Jung Kook how you pronounce your name.

"Al-ya-nah?"

"Aniya. Ah-ree-ya-nah."

You watched the two as Jimin tried to teach him how to properly pronounce your English name. You smiled a little at how Jung Kook struggled. Finding it cute since his ears turned crimson red and you can see the light tint in his cheeks. As the two bicker on about your name, you playfully roll your eyes at the two then speak up.

"My Korean name is Ji Eun by the way. I've told you before Jimin." You chuckle and Jung Kook widens his eyes at your name. "Kim Ji Eun. Nice to meet you Jung Kook."

Jimin chuckles and there was a little squeak to be heard at the end of it. You found it quite adorable when he did that.

"Oh cool! You're a Ji as well." Jung Kook smiles, revealing his bunny teeth and eye smiles. "Hyung has a brother with the same name!"

"Really?"

You ask in surprise, raising your shoulders and smiling innocently. Jimin nods his head at your question and gave it a thumbs up.

"I thought you'd notice earlier when we first met. But you didn't so I let it slide. And thanks Jung Kook for coming. Means a lot."

He explains as he pats Jung Kook on the shoulder and gives you a sweet smile followed by an unexpected hug.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world hyung. Thanks for giving me the memo. If you hadn't, I bet I would have missed meeting this cutie."

Jung Kook says as he looks away so you wouldn't have to see the pink in his cheeks again. You blushed but returned a smile at the 23 year old male.

"Thanks for the cake Oppa. I hope your day goes well. Anyways, I have to go see my halmeoni. May I bring her some of your cake? It's really good."

"Oh sure. Let me get a plate ready for you."

Jimin walks away and heads to the kitchen. Everyone else thanked him for the cake and the drinks, some leaving or staying behind. You sat silently as you ate your cake to the last bite. Jung Kook had already finished his in 4 big bites.
