Your sister hugs you tight, burying her face into your jacket.

"I'm going to miss you eonni*."

"I'll miss you too Aaliyah. Remember to feed Koya and to take him out for walks."

Your sister nods her head as she lets go, wiping her eyes and sniffling a bit. You looked at the time, 08:17 AM. It had to be around 2 AM, October 12. This time zone difference made it hard for you to adjust to. You hadn't slept since you didn't want to get jet lag so you were extremely tired and you couldn't wait to land in Seoul and get the sleep you wanted.

"Tell mom that I'll miss her too. I wish she wasn't working so I can hug her goodbye."

Aaliyah nods once again. She cried and buried her face in her hands, you pulled her in for another hug and calmed her down.

"Neol dalmeun deuthan seulpeun mellodi. Ireohge nal ulineun de, yeah. Ni hyangineun dalkoman felony."

You sang a small verse from her adored song by BLACKPINK titled Stay. She smiled and sang a long with you while you both stood in the airport's terminal. People who you didn't know continued on with their lives. After singing a couple more, your sister felt much better and she chuckled lightly before wiping the streaks of her makeup.

"Tell halmeoni that I'll call her and that I miss her so much."

"Alright. Take care Aaliyah. If anyone tries anything, just spray them in the face with that pepper spray I gave you."

You grab your luggage and wave her goodbye as she smiled and held the pepper spray in her hands. You hear your flight being called once again and you waved one last time before walking away.

"I love you sis!"

"I love you too Jihyun! I'll call you as soon as I land."

You hurried behind and gave your ticket and passport to the lady behind the counter. She checked them and nodded her head once before smiling.

"Thank you for choosing Korean Airlines. Please have a nice flight."

"Thank you miss."

Like the others, you board the plane and put your little luggage into the compartment above you after you found your seat. You sat in the middle of the not so crowded jet and put in your earphones, playing Church by Chase Atlantic. As you sat, you wondered how much would have changed since your last visit which was 6 years ago.

The only thing you knew that would have changed was the debuting new groups, and the old friends you couldn't remember. The only person you did manage to remember and keep in touch with after those years was Choi So Hee. She was the only one you knew who would send you postcards and keep you updated on anything.

What amazed you the most was that she spoke English. When you first met her, your Korean wasn't as proficient and you were so lost when you were waiting for your dad and mom at the shopping center. You wandered around looking for your parents, Aaliyah was 11 at the time and was with your grandma. You were 16 and was hopelessly bumping into strangers, disrespecting them without knowing, trying desperately to ask if they had seen your parents.

You tried calling their cellphones but you remembered that your mom had left hers with Aaliyah and your dads had gotten wet when he accidentally dropped it in the sink that morning. Thankfully, you bumped into a short petite young girl with ombre hair. You bowed first at the time since you were the one who had ran into her and knocked out her belongings.

"It's alright. No worries."

Was the first words you heard her say in perfect soft English. And this made you sigh in relief. You were glad to have met her before you began to lose your sanity just by losing your parents. From there, you and So Hee have become close friends.
