Ch. 33

"I haven't seen your boyfriend coming around to visit with you, sonnyeo. Is everything okay?"

Your halmeoni asks as she waters her little plants. You haven't gotten back together with him, you were still angry and sad about the breakup. Neither of you told your families. The only people that knew were Jung Kook and Yong Bin. You forced a smile, turning your attention to her.

"He's just a lot more busy. His two coworkers are leaving to go visit their family in Germany and won't be back until next year, so Jimin is working more shifts."

"Poor Jimin. I hope he isn't too overworked." She sets down her little watering can and takes a seat beside you as you trimmed her adorable little bonzai tree that was gifted to her by Jimin. He had gotten it a while back and has taken care of it before he had met you. It wasn't until a couple days ago you were told by your halmeoni that she was gifted this by him. You set down the mini scissors and allow your halmeoni to hold your hand.

"I do miss his company. Just as much as I miss your other friends, Jae Min and Soo Mi was it?"

"So Hee."

"Her. She makes great company. Is she busy too?"

You never really thought about it. So Hee hasn't called or texted you since three days ago. You tried calling her the other day to apologize for not answering her calls but she never picked up nor did she respond to your texts.

"Actually, I've been trying to call and text her but she never picks up or replies. I'm assuming she's busy with exams."

"When she has time, I'm sure she'll get in touch. Anyway," Your halmeoni stands up. "Your appa is coming over to visit."

Your furrow your brows, surprised he was back in town.

"He is?"

"Just for the day. He tried to ask his boss to get a whole month off to spend some time with you before you leave next year, but his boss said no and told him he can have the day off."

"Oh," you say without interest. "I never thought he'd want to spend some time with me."

"Don't be that way sonnyeo. He wants to make up for lost years. He even plans on going to visit Ji Hyun and your Eomma."

You nod your head; agreeing with her. You couldn't keep being angry with your dad. He's not all that bad, just always busy. Meeting his kids and wife was nice though. Of course you found his twins to be a handful, they were well mannered and Dasom is just as pretty as your mom. They had a few things in common. Both enjoyed reading, enjoyed evening walks, stayed home most of the time and both loved The Beatles. She was also kind enough to ask about your mom and how she is doing in New York. Your phone vibrates in your pocket, you stand up and excuse yourself as it was your ex calling. You head into the kitchen and answer the phone.

"Yeobuseyo."

"Ji Eun-ah, would you like to come by and visit?"

It was Taehyung. After that night you gave him your number and thanked him for walking you back home. Since then, the two of you have been talking and texting.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Taehyung. I'll be stopping by the hospital to visit my ex's brother."

"Oh no. Is he okay?"

"Yeah, he's alright. He's recovering very well and I haven't visited him in a few days."

"What happened? Was he in an accident?"
