Y/N POV

// Time Skip //

It was lunch time now. I had sat down and pulled out some of the work I gotta have done in the morning.
"Hey Y/N. Whatcha got there?" TK asked, sitting down next to me.
  "Um... Homework." I said.
"Your work or...?" They muttered, looking over my shoulder.
  "Yeah..." I stuttered.
"It's not your's, is it?" TK said, frowning.
I sighed, leaning my head against the table.
  "Nope." I mumbled.
"You know what. I'm gonna go talk to him." TK said.
TK grabbed the work assignments from me.
"TK no! It's fine." I said, trying to grab them back.
"It is not fine. You are overwhelmed and stressed out, all because that jackass is too lazy to do his own damn work." TK said.
"He's not one to make upset. He'll just pick a fight." I said.
"Then a fight it is. You really think I'm scared of that stupid goth kid?" TK said.
"TK I don't want you to get hurt." I said.
"I'll be just fine." TK said.
I followed TK out of the cafeteria and down the hall. TK saw Peter standing by his locker and walked over to him.
"Hey, Peter was it?" TK said, stopping in front of him.
Peter looked over at me with confusion. I quickly stepped between him and TK.
"Look, TK here... They... Um... Don't be upset..." I stuttered.
TK moved me aside.
"You need to stop being a lazy ass and stop making Y/N do your damn work. She's stressed and wants nothing to do with you and your problems. So take back all your work, and do it your damn self." TK said, shoving the papers into Peter's arms.
"Excuse me?" Peter said, now pissed off.
"You heard me, goth boy." TK said.
Peter dropped the paper's and got up in TK's face.
"Does this situation have anything to do with you?" Peter asked.
"No. But it does have to do with my friend, who I care about." TK said.
  "TK stop!" I yelled.
"Y/N stay out of this." TK said.
"I'd listen to her if I were you." Peter said.
"How about you listen to me?" TK said.
Peter than raised his fist, about to punch them. I panicked and tackled TK out of the way.
"Knock it off you 2!" I said, pinning TK down.
Just then Peter grabbed my hood and pulled me off of TK, throwing me off to the side. Not harshly though. He then grabbed TK's shirt collar, and lifted them up to face him. He then, once again, raised his fist.
"Peter stop! Please!" I yelled, running up and grabbing his arm.
He looked over at me, angry. He let go of TK and stood up. He then walked over to me.
"TK has a point..." I muttered, looking away from Peter.
  "I don't care." He growled.
"G-got it." I said, giving a thumbs up.
Peter picked up the work assignments and handed them to me. He then walked off.
"Y/N why did you stop this? I'm trying to help you." TK said.
"I don't want you getting hurt because of my problems, TK. It's fine. I'll do the work for him." I said, walking away from TK.
I sat back down in the lunch room, next to Opal. TK ran up and sat down next to me. I shoved Peter's work back in my bag and pulled out my lunch.
  "What happened?" Opal asked.
"Y/N can't stand up for herself, so I was gonna stand up for her. She refused to let me fix the problem and is now stuck doing all of goth boys homework." TK said.
"I CAN stand up for myself." I muttered.
  "No you can't." Opal said.
"How would you know?" I asked, looking up at her.
"Y/N, no need to be mean. But whenever goth boy walks up to you or does anything, including eye contact, you freeze and panic." TK said.
  "S-so." I stuttered.
"So let us help." Opal said.
  "I don't want you guy's getting hurt." I said.
"But you're hurting yourself becauss of him." Opal said.
I went silent and looked down. I pulled up my sleeves of my hoodie, revealing the multiple scars I had carved into myself over the last year or 2.
"Oh well." I whispered, pulling the sleeve back down.
"Y/N. We care for you so much. We don't wanna see you in pain anymore." TK said.
"It doesn't fucking matter! It's not just him! My family is also a problem to, damn it! Now leave me alone! If you're true friends, you'll stop getting into my problems." I said, standing up.
They went silent. I grabbed my stuff and headed to my locker. Gosh, they just need to mind their own. I sighed, knowing they were just worried for me. But it is what it is.
