Y/N POV

It had been nearly an hour into studying. I honestly was enjoying Peter's company. He was helping and being very respectful. In his way though. Yeah he still called me names or made fun of me when I got something wrong, but hey, I didn't care.
"So... What's up with the bloody knife on your desk? You a killer or something?" Peter asked.
It then hit me. I had forgotten to put that away. I reached up and grabbed it, shoving it in my pocket.
"What knife?" I asked, looking back at the book.
"Seriously? You think I'm stupid or something, nerd?" Peter said, frowning.
"It's nothing." I muttered, not looking up at him.
"It's obviously something. I'm not dumb. The scars say it all." Peter said.
I looked up at him in confusion.
  "Wh-what?" I stuttered.
"Don't think I didn't notice the scars on your arms." Peter said.
I looked down at my arms and back at him.
"Yeah. Go ahead and make fun of me. Tell me how stupid I am for carving a knife into my arm just because I'm an over dramatic little bitch." I said, looking away.
"Why would I make fun of you? That's something you should never make fun of someone about." Peter said.
I felt tears prick into my eyes.
"Because that's what my parents tell me..." I whispered, pulling out the knife and placing it in a drawer.
  "That's awful." Peter said.
"They're right. I am over dramatic." I sighed, looking over at him.
"No you're not. Don't listen to the shit they say." Peter said.
"I know... I just... Overthink things." I mumbled.
  "I get it." He said.
We were silent for a moment. This just made everything extremely awkward. But... Why did his words cheer me up a little? As if he cared about what happened to me.
"So... Wanna order a pizza?" I asked.
"Sure. But shouldn't we finish studying? Before it get's too late out?" He asked.
  "Oh sure." I said.

// Time Skip //

We had finished studying anf I had ordered the pizza. While we waited, Peter was mostly on his phone. I was going over the notes we had written down.
"Hey... I just wanted to say thanks for helping by the way." I said.
  "No problem." He muttered.
"I-I... Also wanted to say I think you're very nice..." I stuttered.
He looked over at me.
  "Thanks I guess..." He said.
I looked down. Why did I say that? Ugh you're embarrassing yourself!
  "You're cool to." He muttered.
I looked up at him.
"Oh um... Thank you." I said, stuttering over every word.
He half smiled, revealing his sharp teeth. I always wondered why he had shark like teeth. I smiled back. Just then the doorbell rang.
"I'll be right back." I said, standing up and exiting the room.

Peter's POV

Y/N walked out of the room. I couldn't help but smile. She was so shy and awkward. It was so damn cute! And she thinks I'm nice! Maybe she'll wanna hang out with me versus those 2 other assholes. That would be a dream come true. Just me and her. Nobody else. Just then Y/N walked in, sitting down.
"Pizza has arrived." She said, smiling.

Y/N POV

After we ate and talked a little more, Peter had to leave. I had offered him a ride home, but he insisted he walked. He said thanks for Pizza and his goodbyes. I walked back into my room and plopped down on my bed. Man, he was so much nicer tonight than ever. Maybe he was just the type of guy who was only nice when he felt comfortable? Who knows. I blushed bright red. I really did like him. I mean yeah, sometimes some of the things he did got on my nerves, but still. I didn't wanna ruin a chance at a potential friendship right away, so I ain't gonna bring up anything about liking him yet.
