Y/N POV
It has been nearly a month since I had moved my stuff in. Life was going amazing. Steph actually visited once in a while and so did the others. Mostly Steph though. Peter had been on me about taking a pregnancy test lately. I was just nervous that I wouldn't be pregnant and I didn't wanna be disappointed.
"Ok ok ok. Calm yourself sir. I'll let ya know what it says. You stay here." I said as he basically pushed me into the bathroom.
"Ok. I will." He said, chuckling.
I closed the door and took a deep breath, looking down at the test in my hand. Well this is it. I did my business and waited a little bit, pacing back and forth in front of the mirror. After that I looked over and I smiled when I saw that little blue cross. I grabbed the test and turned to the door.Peter's POV
I looked up when I heard the door open. My smile had faded when I saw her expression.
"N-no?" I stuttered out.
"I'm kidding yes." She laughed, holding up the test and revealing that blue cross.
"Darling, that was cruel of you." I joked, pulling her into a hug.
She continued to laugh and I placed a few kisses on her forehead.
"I'm sorry I just couldn't miss an opportunity like that." She said.
"I get it but I was mostly concerned about you. I was scared that you wouldn't wanna try again if it came out negative." I said.
"Now why wouldn't I wanna try again? Sure I'd be upset cause I was looking forward to it, but it wouldn't make me not wanna try again." She explained.
"Well as soon as that one's out, we can go in for number two if you'd like~" I purred, smirking.
"Oh ok. We'll start with one, mister. And then we'll see if we're ready for a 2nd. Plus, if you want more than one kid, I should find some kind of job to help." Y/N said, walking over to sit down on the bed.
"You don't need to work, sweety. I make plenty of money to provide for us and a few kids. We'll be fine." I said, sitting down next to her.
"Peter that's a lot to handle by yourself." She said, concern laced in her voice.
"Everything will be fine. Plus, like you said we will start off with one and when you are ready to take on another, we can. And if you think one is enough, then it is. Ok?" I explained.
She smiled before leaning in to kiss me.
"Ok. I trust you. And yeah. Let's take one step at a time." She said.
I nodded.// Time Skip //
Y/N POV
Another 3 months had past since then. And so far this pregnancy wasn't as bad. Though Peter treated me like I was made of the finest china glass. Always there and always worrying. He's more stressed about this than I am. Maybe it's a good thing he ain't the pregnant one. I snickered at my thoughts.
"Are you ready to go, love?" Peter asked, opening our bedroom door.
I nodded. He had planned a dinner date at one of the restaurants. We walked out to the van and got in. On our way there, we talked about redesigning my old room into the nursery.
"Should we wait on colors, since we don't know the gender?" He asked.
"We could just do a gray and white color scheme. Along with little duck designs." I said.
"You and your ducks." Peter said chuckling.
"What? Ducks are cute." I said.
"I know. I'm just saying." He said.
"So do you think that would be good?" I asked.
"I do, actually. And we can get yellow curtains. And we can find a crib with ducks on it to, if you must have it duck themed." Peter said.
"Yes! That'd be so cute!" I said excitedly.
"Did you want to go in to find out the gender or did you wanna wait till birth? I can schedule an appointment for later to figure it out." Peter asked.
"I think I'm ok with waiting till birth. I like the idea of surprise." I said.
"Wow, I'd honestly thought you'd be the one to wanna know as soon as possible." He said.
"Maybe if we end up having more. The first one can be a surprise." I said.
"Got it." Peter said.
Later that evening at the restaurant, Peter had ended up proposing to me. I had obviously said yes. I kinda saw it coming, due to the fact he wouldn't stop talking about this date specifically for the last week or so. I'm not going to tell him that I slightly knew though. I was still shocked.// Time Skip //
I've been pregnant for nearly 7 months now. And married for 3 and a half. Steph was up almost every other day though, when it was getting closer. I think Peter got used to her staying nights or being here so often. He had actually honestly got used to everyone. TK and Lucy visited once every so often. Don would randomly tag along with them. Mostly to help Peter out with the nursery.
"Are you hoping for a girl or a boy?" TK asked.
"I'm hoping for a little girl." Lucy said.
I chuckled.
"I'm ok with anything." I said.
"I'm hoping for a girl too." Steph said.
"I'm kinda with Y/N." TK said.
"Hey, Peter. What are you hoping for?" Lucy asked when Peter and Don entered the room.
"Oh, I'm ok with whatever. I'm just happy to be starting a family." He said, sitting down next to me.
"Do you guys plan on having anymore?" Don asked.
"Depends on how this one goes. We're gonna give it a few months and if I think we're ready for another, then yes." I explained.
"Nice." Don said.
"That just means more kids for me to spoil." Steph said.
"And me." Lucy said.
We all laughed.// Time Skip //
The day had finally came. And I had ended up having a (boy/girl). Let's just say I was not at all a fan of the birthing part but once I got to see the little one, I realized it was definitely worth it. I don't think I've ever seen Peter cry so much. Well that's not entirely true but still. Moreso never seen him cry this much in joy.
"You're more sensitive than me." I said, as he handed me the baby.
(He/she) was sound asleep. Which was fine cause I was tired too.
"This is probably one of the greatest days of my life. Of course I'm gonna be sensitive." Peter said.
"I'm just ready to go home. And eat. Again." I said.
"I love how you're more concerned about food." Peter said.
"Oh whatever. If you were in my position, you'd feel the same." I said, sarcastically
"I'm joking with ya, love." He said, laughing.
"I know." I said.
Eventually we did get to go home. We had ended up naming the little one Y/K. Which was perfect for them. The rest of the day I mostly laid in bed, sleeping or taking care of the baby. Eventually night time hit and Peter had laid the baby down to sleep and then came back into our room. He laid down, cuddling up next to me.
"Now you sleep. If the baby cries, I got it. You need rest my darling. Especially after your long day." Peter said, planting a kiss on my lips afterwards.
"I'm not dying, sir. But I appreciate this a lot. Thank you." I said.
"Anything for you, darling." He said.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too. Goodnight darling." He said.
"Goodnight Peter." I said.(And there you have it, folks. My longest written book ever. And it took me a little over a year to complete. Holy shit. Hopefully y'all liked it! I'm proud with how it turned out. Obviously to me, being the writer, there are always things I would probably wanna go back and change, but I still think I did good. Please consider following me if you liked this! It would mean a lot to me! Thank you for reading also!)
