Y/N POV

We all sat in the living room awkwardly. Well except Peter, who was in the kitchen... Still.
"Um... I'm going to go get Peter and then I'll explain." I said, standing up.
TK frowned and the others all just nodded. I walked over to the kitchen. I had expected Peter to immediately get done ordering and be in the room, just to make sure I tried nothing stupid, but no. When I entered the kitchen, Peter glanced over before looking away.
"Hey, what's going on?" I asked.
"Tch, you tell me." He growled.
Though he sounded angry, he also sounded like he was... Crying? I grabbed his hand.
"Are... Are you crying?" I stuttered.
  "No." He muttered.
  "Look at me." I said.
He looked over and he was indeed, crying. It made my heart ache.
"Oh Peter..." I cooed, pulling him into a hug.
"You're gonna leave me again. I can't lose you again... Please don't leave me... I'm sorry." He sobbed.
"No. No I'm not. I'm not going anywhere. I promise, love. I'm staying right here." I said reassuringly.
"Well then what are you gonna tell them? You said you were gonna tell them the truth." He said.
"Yes. But... It'll have some twists.... Think of it as a... A happy lie. We'll all be happy in the end." I said.
Peter was silent. I pulled away from the hug and cupped his face in my hands. I gave him a half smile.
"We're gonna be fine, Peter." I said.
He nodded.
  "Mk." He mumbled.
"Now, we should probably head into the living room." I said.
  "Yeah... I guess..." He said.
"Don't worry Peter. I know you're not thrilled that they showed up... But, maybe we can make this work. Without killing and without just cutting them out of our lives. I know you won't like it, but, they're my friends and family." I explained.
"You don't need them though." He whispered.
  "Peter." I said.
He huffed and nodded.
"Yeah I know... I'm sorry." He said.
"Good. Now let's go." I said.
We both walked into the living room and sat down.
"You've really changed Peter." Steph said.
"Let's just say... We can forget the whole ass goth phase shit." Peter muttered, waving his hand in the air as to dismiss the memory.
"So... You didn't kidnap Y/N?" Lucy asked, hesitantly.
  "No." Peter said.
  "Well...." I muttered.
Peter gave me a side glance. I smirked at him before reaching over and grabbing his hand in mine, giving a reassuring squeeze.
"What do you mean well?" TK asked.
"Ok. Here's the truth. I wasn't doing the best mentally. Work was killing me and rent always being due was stressing the living shit out of me. So when Sarah had contacted me that Peter was out of prison... I got an idea. I know this sounds crazy but... I... I just couldn't take it anymore. I contacted Peter, asking him to quote on quote kidnap me. I played stupid and pretended like I didn't know him just so I didn't make our plan obvious to you guys in the beginning. But now that I think about it... It was pretty stupid and I should have just been honest and said I was running away with him. Look, I didn't know what was going through my head at the time. I just needed a break from reality." I explained.
They all looked at me in shock. Including Peter.
"Why didnt you come to us Y/N? We were there for you." TK said.
I frowned.
"TK... No. All you did was act like my parent." I said.
Steph coughed dramatically.
"I... Ok fine. I missed him! Is that what you're looking to hear?" I asked, folding my arms.
"He killed people Y/N!" Steph shouted.
I looked down. How was I supposed to respond to that? Am I crazy?
  "Y/N come home." Lucy said.
"Oh why? So she can pay your fucking rent you whore?" Peter growled, placing an arm around me.
I leaned against him, not wanting to make any kind of eye contact with the others.
"Excuse me?" Lucy said, seemingly ticked off.
"Lucy has a job now, so don't fucking call her a whore." TK said.
"Yeah. After she lost Y/N. Otherwise that bitch would still be getting railed and smoking pot. She treated Y/N like shit, even though Y/N did everything for that bitch." Peter explained.
"Well im sorry no job ever called me back! I didn't realize that it would lead to this!" Lucy yelled.
"You never picked up job applications, Lucy." Don muttered.
Lucy looked over at Don, who was scrolling on his phone.
"And how would you know?" Lucy asked.
"Cause everytime you went to 'apply', you were really going to a guy's house. And I know because that guy's house was my son Roy's house." Don explained.
Lucy sat there, guilt going over her face. She lied to me. I wanted to scream at her for lying. For putting me through the stress.
"None of you deserve Y/N." Peter growled.
"And what makes you think you do?" TK asked.
"Because I'm treating her with respect! I'm taking all the stress off her shoulders that yall gave her! I'm giving her the freedom she deserves." Peter shouted.
"And what about me? I'm her sister? How come I don't deserve her?" Steph asked.
"Let's remember the way you treated her throughout a majority of her childhood and teenage years. I remember her coming to school multiple times, bruises scattered along her face & arms. And who knows where else. Sure it wasn't just you, but you were involved. What sister sits back and watches their mother beat the shit out of their sister, then after their mother is done, decides to take a few hits themselves? Huh?" Peter asked.
Steph looked down.
"I apologized! I changed!" She yelled.
"Sure ya did. But will Y/N forget? Sure she may forgive you, but she'll more than likely never forget." Peter said.
"Ok guys enough!" I said, standing up.
"It's him whose doing this Y/N! He's the same old manipulative bastard!" TK yelled.
"I don't care! I'm done! I'm tired of fighting! Tired of everything! I was doing just fine here before you all showed up! I thought I could make things work and resolve the problem, but no!" I shouted.
"Y/N we were just concerned for you." Don said.
"Well you know I'm fine now." I said.
"We're sorry, Y/N. Ok." Steph said.
"Ok. I forgive you. But I'm staying here. Me and Peter are fine. So please, don't worry." I said.
"Well then... We should be on our way. Right?" TK said, looking at the others.
  "Yeah. Let's go." Lucy said.

Peter's POV

Y/N turned and headed up stairs. I felt bad for her, but this is for the best. The others all left, except for Steph.
  "Hey Peter...." She muttered.
  "Yeah?" I said.
"Take care of her. I... I'm sorry. Again. And if I could come visit once in awhile, that'd be nice?" She asked.
"Yeah of course. Sure thing. Just text or call her anytime." I said.
"Thanks. I'll... Cya." She mumbled, walking to the door.
Once she was gone I sighed, turning and heading up the stairs. Food was gonna be here soon, and I wanted to give Y/N her phone back too. I knocked on her door.
"Sweety? I'm sorry you had to go through that." I said.
I could hear faint crying on the other side of the door. I opened it and walked in, seeing her curled up in her blankets. I sat on the side of her bed, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Why can't they just be happy for me? Is everything I do wrong? Am I supposed to sit back and suffer in order for them to be happy?" She asked, rolling over to face me.
I sighed, leaning down and hugging her. I kissed her on the forehead.
  "They're selfish, Y/N. That's all." I said.
"I just wanted things to work out Peter... It's all I've ever wanted..." She whispered.
  "I'm sorry love." I said.
She buried her face in the blankets, continuing to sob softly. I rubbed soothing circles on her back, hoping to calm her down.
