Luke tried to reach out his mind to one of the twins, but he found his way blocked. He worked to find a weak spot. He found a crack and slipped in. He looked for the chains but couldn't find them. He wasn't under mind control. He found the link to the other twin, followed it, and found the same thing. Both twins were free. He pulled out. Justice was talking to the twins. He coaxed Eclipse over to them. She was intimidated by the Dragons because they were so much bigger than Fionntan. They also blew her away like a leaf. He managed to convince her. When they got close, both twins turned their heads at the same time to look at them. It was eerie.
"Who are you?" the twin on the right asked.
"I'm Luke. I freed your sister from the Crow's control." Luke replied.
"Are you a Telepath?" the twin on the left asked. "A few minutes ago, I felt a strange presence in my mind."
"Yes." Luke admitted. "I thought you were under The Crows control, so I went in to free you."
"How strong?" the twin on the right asked.
"I don't know, I'm only just discovering my abilities. Why is this so important to you?" Luke said. The twins looked at each other.
"There have been prophecies about a Telepath." The twin on the left said after he'd been staring at his brother for a long time.
"Erilda was a city of scholars." The twin on the right said when he saw Luke's puzzled look. "We read the prophecy from a book written by Fate Herself."
"We've read every book in the Erildian library." The twin on the left said. "It has given us knowledge, more than most Erildians."
"We should get back to my friends." Luke said. He turned Eclipse back on course. She gladly did so. The twins and Justice followed him. He received an image of the Dragons.
Don't want. Eclipse told him.
I know. They've got nowhere to go. Luke told her. She made an unhappy sound.
Don't want. She repeated.
I need all the help I can get to take down The Crows. Luke said.
DON'T WANT. Eclipse roared.
I won't let them hurt you. Luke promised. She made the unhappy noise again. Luke sighed.
It's okay. He told her. They're safe. She made the noise again and looked at him. Her blue eyes searched him. He kept his face in a serious expression.
Can you be convinced otherwise?
No. She looked away and dropped it. Their campsite came into view. The others were packing up. Eclipse landed. Justice and the twins followed suit. Ailwin looked over at him.
"Where'd you go?" he asked.
"I went to be alone." Luke explained.
"What happened? Eclipse suddenly took off."
"I was chased by two Crows. One was wearing feathered clothes." Ailwin's face went white.
"That was The Head Crow. He must want you badly if he's chasing after you himself." He said.
