Can't you do anything right?" The Head Crow demanded.
"I did successfully tear away Forwin's power, the telepath can't fix it and he doesn't know anyone who can." The Enslaver said.
"Did you think he would come to you? You idiotic imbecile!" The Enslaver looked at the ground. "Twisting his mind didn't work, the Trackers failed twice. What else do we have?" The Head Crow attacked a nearby guard and ripped his head off.
"There's threatening those he loves in the form of a trap." The Enslaver suggested.
"He's too smart, you imbecile!" The Head Crow came over to him and clawed his cheek. He put a hand up to it. It came away with blood. "If he can trick us, what makes you think you can trick him?" The Head Crow hit him again.
"N-nothing, my lord." The Enslaver stammered. The Head Crow turned slowly in a circle.
"You there!" he said suddenly, pointing at a man who was helping clear away the headless body. The man jumped.
Oh no. The Enslaver thought.
"Do you think we can trick the telepath?" The Head Crow asked the man.
"Nay, I saw him me'self, he looked convincing to me, my lord." the man said.
"How about you?" The Head Crow asked a second man.
"No, my lord." The Head Crow turned back to The Enslaver.
"If you want to keep the power I gave you, you'd better become smarter." He said.
"Yes, my lord." The Enslaver didn't think it was wise to tell The Head Crow about how the telepath had found out how to undo his mind control. Not while he was in this mood.
"What do we know about this telepath? Nothing!" The Head Crow said.
"Actually, while I was trying to twist his mind, I learned that he is stronger than he knows he is." The Enslaver said.
"You couldn't have told me that earlier?" The Head Crow jumped on him and killed him.
"Useless." The Head Crow muttered. He turned to the first man he'd asked his question to.
"Congratulations, you've been promoted." He gave the previous Enslaver's powers to him.
"It'll be my honor to serve ye." The new Enslaver said.
"Good. Because we're going after him ourselves." The Head Crow replied.
