James's parents were already waiting for us when we got off the train. His father, Harry, looked confused as to why I was with James.
"You did tell them I was coming, didn't you?" I asked quietly so they wouldn't hear me.
"Of course I did! They were okay with it," James whispered back. I let out a sigh of relief and kept walking. James put his arm around my waist and led me through the crowd.
When we finally reached James's parents, they were both smiling at us. His mom, Ginny, had long red hair and was a little shorter than Harry. His father, Harry, had messy dark hair like James and was wearing glasses. Harry put a hand on James's shoulder and led him away from me.
I stood there awkwardly next to Ginny.
"So are you and James dating," Ginny turned and asked me quietly.
"Um... I'm not really sure yet," I said back. I really had no idea. We just kissed, how would I know?
"Well, when you find out, will you tell me?" She asked me. I turned and looked at her. "Of course I will," I said a little shocked by her question. Ginny seemed satisfied with my answer, so she turned around to look for Harry and James. They were making their way back to us.
When the finally caught up, James grabbed my hand. His parents led the way and we followed close behind.
"What did your father ask you about?" I asked quietly. The curiosity was eating me from the inside.
"If we were dating," he replied calmly.
"What did you say?" I asked a little loudly, but they didn't seem to notice.
"I said yes," he said quieter, reminding me to keep my voice down.
"Well, you better tell your mom because I told her I didn't know," James smiled at me and then kept walking. I honestly couldn't wait to send an owl to Aiyanna to tell her what happened so far. I haven't even made it to the house yet, but I'm already having so much fun!
