I couldn't believe what I was seeing. On the other side of the brick wall was Platform 9 3/4. There was the giant red train sitting not far from where we were, but in between us and the train was people. Lots of people.
James let go of me and motioned for me to give him my trunk. I shook my head no and then started to walk towards the train. Then James yanked my trunk out of my hand, which made me drop Angel, and started running towards the train. I picked up Angel's cage and started to follow James.
"James! James! James!" I screamed after him as I followed behind. I saw him quickly get on the train and disappear inside. I stopped my screaming and quickly stepped onto the train.
The hallway was full of wondering students looking for a place to sit. It didn't help that the hallway was only big enough for one and a half people. I looked over people's heads to see if I could find James. When he didn't appear, I shoved way through the crowd, muttering my apologies.
I passed a bunch of seat. Not a single one had James or my trunk in it. I turned around and started to make my way back where I came from.
"Hey, New Girl," I heard a familiar voice behind me. I turned to see a smiling James holding my trunk by his side. I smiled with relief and moved into the seat next to him. The first thing I noticed was there was three other people in the seat also. I smiled and then sat down next to James.
There were two girls, one with red hair and the other with dirty blonde hair. Sitting next the red headed girl was a boy with dark messy hair like James, I assumed he was James's brother.
"Oh... right. This is my brother Albus, and my sister Lily, and my cousin Rose." He pointed to each person as he said their names. Then he motioned towards me. "And this is New Girl."
"My name is Luna," I said, finally, being able to get that off my chest.
"Well, your in for a long ride, Luna," Albus said. I smiled at his response and then reached for my purse. It wasn't on my shoulder. "Bloody hell," I mumbled. Everyone turned to look at me. "Sorry, um... I think I dropped my purse when I was chasing James. I'm gonna go look for it," I said and stood up to leave.
James grabbed my wrist and I turned to look at him. "The trains about to leave, you should probably sit." I just smiled and tugged my wrist from his grasp. When I looked back, James was following me. "I'll be fine!" I yelled back to him.
"You never know. Those Slytherins can get really mea-" suddenly the train lurched forward and I fell backwards. My head hit the edge of a window and my legs slipped out from underneath me. I cried out in pain and James hurried towards me to help me up.
"I'm fine," I whispered, still stunned from my fall. He picked me up by my arms and then stopped.
"Um... You're not fine," James said, concerned.
"I am too," I said as I used my hands to push me off the ground. When I stood up, all the blood seemed to rush from my head and I started to fall again. Luckily James was there to catch me. He slowly lowered my to the ground.
"Your head is bleeding," he said while motioning towards the red floor. I moaned in pain and then started to see spots. "Can we go back?" I asked, slurring my words.
"No, you just need to stay right here," he whispered. His voice was like honey compared to my slurring voice. I sighed and closed my eyes.
The last thing I remember hearing was James asking someone to go get help. Then everything went black.
