I fell to the ground as the I landed back at the ministry. I lifted my hand towards my cheek, where Maeve the werewolf scratched me. Blood was dripping down my face. My cheek was throbbing with pain and I wanted to scream. Instead, I stood up and walked out the room filled with prophecies.
When I was finally outside the ministry, I noticed my wand was laying in a trash can. I picked it up and brushed away some of the garbage that clinged to it. I pulled out my hair tie and layed it on the ground.
"Portus," I whispered, turning my hair tie into a Portkey. I put my wand into my pocket and grabbed the hair tie. There was a sudden yank behind my navel and then I was gone.

I landed just where I hoped, the Potters house. It was late afternoon and I didn't even know how that was possible. I sighed, cursed myself for my bad time-keeping, and ran to the door.
I knocked once...
No answer.
I knocked again...
Still no answer.
I knocked a third time...
No answer still.
I opened the door and walked insde. I was done waiting and I sure as heck was done being polite. "James," I said quietly, not wanting to seem insane for talking to myself. "James," I said, a little louder this time. He still didn't answer. I sighed and walked towards the stairs. I stopped and realized what James would think if he saw my half destroyed face. I backed away from the stairs and walked towards the bathroom. Inside, I wiped the dried blood from my face. There were some really noticeable scratched, but other than that I looked pretty normal.
I sighed and walked back to the stairs. I walked up, but stopped dead in my tracks. James was sitting on the stairs kissing another girl. I looked closer. I held back a gasp as I realized it was Lavana. I felt my face go red and my hands ball into fists. I stomped the rest of the way up the stairs, which made James and Lavana look at me, and shove past both of them. I walked into Lily's room and slammed the door closed.
"I think you need to leave," I heard James say.
"But, James," Lavana said sweetly.
"Please, darling," he sighed.
"Fine, but I'm gonna see you at school, right?" Lavana asked.
"Yes. Now go, please!" Jame said, a little annoyed.
Then there was a short pause. Then footsteps. Then a knock on the door. My only answer was silence. The door opened slowly and James stepped in. I picked up the nearest object, which happened to be a book, and chucked it at him. He ducked.
"Get the bloody hell out of my sight!" I screamed at him. James looked as if he'd been slapped, but I couldn't care less. He broke my heart, so I'm gonna break his face.
"What happened to your face?" He asked, worried.
"Oh, shut it! You can cut the act because you are a fake! The whole thing was fake! I walk into this house, escaping getting killed by a werewolf, and see you snogging another freaking girl! Do you think I'm stupid? And I bet you never even went out looking for me or even thought to look! I was just another stupid girl who fell for you and is now paying the price!" I stopped and took a deep breath. James's face showed shock.
"It's nothing like that," he tried to reasure me. "You almost got killed by a werewolf?" He asked.
"Stop changing the freaking subject, you prat!" I screamed at him while also managing to throw a lamp at him. This time, I hit him in the arm. He cried out in pain.
"What was that for?" He yelled through gritted teeth.
"I'm not the stupid one here, you are! You expect me to not care at all?" I screamed at him, causing my throat to feel like it was on fire.
"Of course not. It's just that..." he trialed off. "I thought you were gone forever. After I spent a whole week looking for you, I just thought you were gone." I took mental note that it has been a whole week and then continued on being angry.
"It takes you, what, a week to move on from someone you SEEMED to care about so much? Honestly, if it was me, I would be out of this room becuase if you're not, you might be the one who's dead!" I screamed, but my voice was slowly disappearing. I picked up another book and threw it at him, but I missed.
"Please, can I exp-" James tried to say.
"I said to get out of my sight!" I screamed, this time my voice was almost back to normal.
James finally took the end and backed out of the room. Before he shut the door I said, "I hope you and your new girlfriend are as happy as I thought I was," almost in a whisper. He hesitated and then shut the door behind him.
I turned and plopped down onto the bed and cried, and I didn't stop until I had no tears left.
