"saturday"

.

i yawn while i stretch my arms up in the air. The sun creeps in through my blinds, pointing directly at my eyes causing me to squint.

today will be a good day.

i get up and fix my bed, once i'm finished, i look at the digital clock on my bedside table.

10:00 am. That's good, i got lots of sleep.

I look into my closet and look for an outfit.

it's sunny today, so i don't mind wearing a skirt.

i take a flowy black skirt and pair it with a white collared, buttoned down long-sleeve with a sweater vest over.

i take a long shoulder bag and start putting my stuff in it.

wired earphones, phone, sketchbook, and a beanie. Just in case.

i take my bag and quickly go to the bathroom to brush my teeth then run downstairs.

i see my dad in the living room and my little sister eating cereal.

"What are you dressed up for?" my sister says with the spoon in her mouth.

"I'm going out for the day."

"With your friends?" my dad yells from the living room.

"Yeah." i lie

"Okay you can stay out until 9pm, if you're out later than that, just let me know." he says.

"Okay." i run to my sister then ruffle her head and kiss her on the forehead.

i leave my house at 10:30 and skip my way to the bakery.

after 15 minutes, i finally make it. The walk was longer since i was taking pictures of things and dancing to my music.

I peak inside and the smell hits me fast, soon i'll literally have an addiction.

I walk in and yell, "excuse me?"

i see nobody at the counter so i continue looking at all the bread.

the hidden room that only workers can go into opens and a boy in a white apron appears whilst rubbing his hands together to remove the flour on him.

He's wearing a black turtle neck underneath it. There's spots of flour visible on his black shirt.

My eyes scan him all the way to his face, his left cheek has swipe of flour as well.

We meet eyes and our eyes go wide. We turn away at the same time.

I turn away from him, i just awkwardly observe the bread.

It's not him, don't worry. You're stressing over nothing.

"Ah! you came today!" The old lady says.

I turn around quickly in surprise, the lady stands next to the boy.

His eyes just stare at me while his face goes red.

I bow, "Hi again." i smile

"Come here! Come here!" she says while motioning me to come closer.

I walk close to the counter and look at him, his eyes on the floor.

"This is my grandson! He helps me in the bakery" She laughs.
