"hey" he says.
It's ni-ki, i sigh out of relief.
"what are you doing here?" i ask
He just shrugs then walks to me with one of his hands behind his back.
"Don't you get bored, hanging alone like... this?" he says while looking around the class room.
I shrug, "dunno." as i look blankly at my water bottle.
"Why are you talking to me all of a sudden." I nonchalantly ask.
"You're interesting." he mutters, "Here." he holds his hand out, giving me something.
A cookie, i just stare at it.
"huh?" i say
"It's for you." he puts it in my hand.
"because you gave me money." he laughs.
I roll my eyes, "thanks."
he takes a seat at the empty seat beside me.
we sit in silence as i eat my cookie, it's boring, but he hasn't left.
"we've never talked before." he speaks, "even though we've been in this class for a long time."
I shake my head, "we have."
he looks at me and raises an eyebrow, "but never an actual conversation."
i shrug. "you don't like me." i mutter.
I don't understand why he's suddenly taken an interest in me.
He chuckles, "it's fun to tease you."
I sigh once again, then continue to eat my cookie.
"you used to be close with Soyeon, what happened?" He suddenly asks
I look at him, the atmosphere suddenly tensing up.
"How do you know? that we were close." i ask
"You guys talked 24/7 near the beginning of the school year."
I nod, "you creep."
he laughs.
"so... what happened?" he says
"She has other friends now, including you." i say as a point at him
He leans back on his chair, "Yeah, she's pretty fun to be around." he says
"yes" i mumble.
i look at my cookie then split it in half, i give a half to him.
He laughs and then takes it.
A noise from the door appears.
We both quickly look to the door.
He's fast but i've already seen who it was.
Jungwon. What was he doing there?
Niki and I turn to each other.
"who was it?" i ask him, acting clueless.
"I saw Jungwon." he replies.
I look down, thinking back on that conversation Jungwon and Soyeon had.
"Soyeon and him have a thing, but today when he went to talk with her, he came back looking a bit sad." he sighs.
I slowly nod, "what happened?" i ask
