Keisuke is laying down on his bed as he stares at the picture that Saki gave him on his birthday.

"You've been staring at that picture for a while now" – said Hideya who had just come back from the kitchen carrying a tray of food.

Keisuke gave out a sigh.

"And that's the 15th time you sigh since you got home" – Hideya commented as he prepares the meal in the small dining area near the window "Come now, dinner is ready"

Keisuke stands up "I just don't know how to feel or what to say"

"It's about Saki right?"

The ginger nodded and sits down in front of the brunette at the small dining table. Hideya remains silent for a while thinking what to say next about the subject, he knows it's kinda sensitive since Saki is Keisuke's friend who also confessed her feelings for him. He doesn't want to upset the ginger or make everything even harder for him.

"She's been avoiding me, even at our class she's not talking to me anymore" – the ginger looks at the brunette as he rests his head on the table "Well it's not that you should be thinking about it, it has nothing to do with you so don't worry about it"

Hideya looks at him intently then "You do what you have to do, what you think is right"

Keisuke was surprised by what he said and didn't know how to respond. There was a moment of silence between them.

"Alright! So let's eat! Tonight I prepared us curry since you like the curry that my mom made last time, I made sure to make it extra special just for you" – Hideya said breaking the silence and changing the topic.

Keisuke on the other hand smiles feignedly but still thinking about his friend.

At the school bench.

"I sat here yesterday because you asked me to, I can't believe that you will do the same thing today. I should be in the student council office working" – said Shohei.

Hideya sigh "And yet you're here"

"Do you have a problem?" – Shohei asked while maintaining his usual firm voice.

"I think you have the problem, not me" – Hideya answered with an annoyed face.

"Alright that's enough" – said Keisuke "I asked everyone to come here to tell you all something" – he added.

"What is it?" – the president asked.

"We will be having our summer break, so I'm planning to go out" – said the ginger.

His friend asked "What do you mean go out?"

"I don't know, maybe we can visit someplace"

Hideya sits down "Like an out of town?"

"Yes" – Keisuke smiles.

"And why include us? You two can go without me and Saki" – Shohei said with raised eyebrows.

"Well because you two are my only friends" - said in a low tone, which made Shohei and Saki pay attention to him "I wanted to have fun with you, it's been a long time since we went out together" – he added in a sentimental tone.

"Well I guess I'm not going then" – Hideya said.

"Of course you will" – Keisuke glared at him sending shiver down the other's spine.

"O-okay" – Hideya reluctantly answered "He's really scary when he's mad" – he whispered to himself.

His friend smiles "Alright I'm in, I can't say no if you said it that way" – he pats Keisuke's head.

"Ehem ehem ehem" – Hideya pretending to clear his troat so Shohei stops touching Keisue.

"What about you Saki?" – the small male asked as he turns his attention to her.

Saki didn't respond or even look at Keisuke.

Shohei quickly answered "Of course she will be coming too"

Keisuke frowns as Saki is different towards him, they no longer talk to each other, she's avoiding him, and does not even look at him in the eyes. Despite that Keisuke is determined to rebuild their friendship.

"Where do you plan to go?" – asked Hideya.

"We can stay in one of your family's villa" – Shohei suggested.

Keisuke looks at Shohei "Which one do you prefer senpai?"

"Your family owns a lot of villas, let's see, what about the one in...."

They've discussed what place they will be spending their summer while Saki remained silent the entire time.

─────

The weekend came and the four of them are waiting for the train going to Kyoto, the place where they decided to visit. Nakahara owns many villas and resorts all over the country and abroad, they all agree on going to the mansion situated at the top of the mountain which is a little different from cliché beaches usually people go to during summer.

"So why didn't we take any of your cars? You could've asked your driver so we don't have to commute via public train"  – Shohei questioned while they are standing in the train station.

"Because I haven't traveled too far places via train" – Keisuke smiles with pure excitement in his eyes "Remember when my parents are here they don't let me go too far places, if they do they always make sure that someone accompanied me and drive for me all over town which is kinda boring"

"Unbelievable, he has all the rights and privilege to have a relax and stress-free travel, and yet he chooses to struggle by riding a train" – Shohei said exasperatedly.

Keisuke never experiences going out on his own without anyone following him around. There's this one time when he was in junior high they had a school field trip, everyone rode the same bus but he had to join them riding his own private car which surprised all of the students at that time.

"Wow, that sounds lame" – Hideya said after hearing that from Shohei.

"Yup, his family is more overprotective than we are" – Shohei sigh "So what you are seeing now is the innocent or should I say more like ignorant Keisuke"

The two of them look at Keisuke who is very excited to travel via public train.

"You should see him the first time he rode the train going to school" – his friend added.

Hideya smiles "Well that makes him cute... I guess"

"Good thing you no longer have your cast" – Shohei said as he notices his right arm.

"Yeah, it took more time than needed. I've already told the doctor that I should be fine without it and yet he insisted"

"Well he is the doctor so he knows what's best"

"Whatever, it's restraining my move"

The two of them conversate casually which irritates Saki so much.

"Hey look at that" – Keisuke said to Saki forgetting that she is ignoring him.

Saki looks at him blankly then turns her back on him. It gave an awkward atmosphere.

It hurts Keisuke that his childhood friend Saki is giving him a cold shoulder, how he wishes that everything would turn back the way they use to be.

At the early hour of their ride, Keisuke was so entertained by everything that he sees outside the window of the train, sitting next to him is Hideya and in front of him is Saki sitting beside Shohei. The ginger acted like a child who just got into an amusement park for the first time, his eyes never left the view once, for the first time he felt that he is free to do anything that he wanted.

"You sure enjoying this trip" – Hideya said "He looks so cute" – he added inside him.

Saki remained quiet reading a book but occasionally looks at Keisuke, on the other hand Shohei has an exasperated look on his face.
