Lesson20: Otsukimi (prt3)

Hideya opens his eyes and saw the ceiling of his old room, his eyes starts to adjust with the light of the day gently shining on his face from the window, he turns around, and to his surprise the ginger that he cradle the whole night is not there beside him. His eyes widen and quickly he stands up from the bed and looks for him all over the house worried that it is indeed just a dream, that Keisuke is not real.

Still, with bed hair, he pants as he searches for him with wide eyes.

"You're awake" – a voice said.

Hideya turns around and saw his mother, with a panicked voice he asked "W-where's Keisuke?! Where's my chibi?!"

His mother tilted her head as if she is wondering why Hideya is acting like that "Are you alright? Did something happen?" – she asked.

The brunette walks towards his mother "Keisuke, Keisuke, where is he?" – rephrasing his question. Kyoko knows her son very well or that's what she wanted to believe cause this time she is wondering what's got into him.

The woman is about to say something when the door to the living room opens.

"We're back!" – Ayako hollered as she runs toward the living room.

"Good morning Hideya" – a familiar voice called him from behind, it's the ginger "Good you're awake, I got these sparklers that we can li-" – but before he was able to finish his statement Hideya hugs him tight in his chest making him drop the things that he and Ayako bought from the store.

All three people were surprised at how the tall male acted. He didn't say anything but a small sob can be heard from him while shaking his head.

"You're hurting me you know"– the small male said while being literally squeeze but later he realizes that the brunette hugging him is trembling "Hideya, are you alright?"

Hideya pulls back from the hug and quickly looks at the small face of Keisuke as he rubs it with his thumbs "I thought you're gone forever" – he said with a shaky voice.

Keisuke, Kyoko, and Ayako all have the same expression on their faces, disbelief.

"What is this? Is this some kind of morning hallucination again?" – the ginger asked with one eyebrow raise.

Hideya has a lot of antics that Keisuke has seen over the months that they are together which a normal person would never do so seeing him act like that is nothing new to him except this time there are actual tears building up at the corner of his eyes.

The brunette male smiles "Maybe" – the only answer he can give him.

"Are you sure?" – he asked this time with a worried tone because his partner's eyes shine as if he is about to cry "Did something happen?"

Hideya can only shake his head in response as he gracelessly wipes his eyes with his arm like a child.

"Alright" – Kyoko breaking the scene "I know that you're sometimes metally unstable but you shouldn't be acting like some kind of lunatic especially in front of your sister" – she added being savage to her son.

"Keisuke-niichan, I think big brother is just hungry" – said the young girl as she tilted her head while hugging her bunny stuff toy.

Keisuke just gave out a gentle laugh "Probably" – he answered Ayako "I'm sorry if I worry you, Ayako and I went out for a while to get something" – he said as he turns his attention to the male next to him.

"How's your fever?" – Hideya quickly touches his forehead and the ginger's forehead to compare the temperature.

The small male giggles "I'm fine, I think the medicine works effectively" – he assured him "Let's go to the dining table, you're mother and younger sister already ate but I waited for you so we can eat together" – he added.

The ginger picks up the things that they got from the store and quickly the brunette helps him.

"Let me take those for you" – he said.

"Okay"

The two of them went to the dining area to eat their breakfast which since Hideya woke up late it's more like brunch (breakfast + lunch).

"Seriously what's wrong with the kids these days" – his mother said inside her head as she watches them prepare their meal on the table.

"It's late, you should've eaten your breakfast with mother and Ayako" – he said "You know it's not good for your health to skip meals like you always do before I meet you"

"Don't worry, I don't want you eating alone and besides it's not that late for breakfast"

The two of them start eating the breakfast that Kyoko prepared that morning.

While eating, the brunette still thinks of the questions that he has for the male in front of him, he stares at him intently that quickly noticed by the other one.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" – he asked then he ate the food that is already on his chopsticks. The pair chopsticks are especially for him when he is there, it has a design of cherry blossom on it pairing with Hideya's own chopsticks. In fact, Kyoko bought it for him as his frequent visit there made him become too close with the family as if he is part of it already "Hi. De. Ya." – he called out to him as the brunette didn't respond though he is looking at him.

Hideya was taken back to reality when he heard his name "Y-yes?" – his quick response.

"Urgh... are you alright? You've been holding that piece of food with your chopsticks and staring at me like some kind of weirdo" – the other male said.

"I-I'm fine" – he smiles and finally eats the food at the end of the utensil he's holding.

Doubting him "You sure?" – it is his first time seeing the brunette act like he is not himself.

"Keisuke" – he suddenly has the serious tone and pauses for a moment, the ginger is all ears waiting for whatever he will be saying "Keisuke, are you happy with me?" – he asked.

The ginger gave out a giggle "I thought I'm the only one who is asking weird questions, YES I AM VERY HAPPY WITH YOU" – he answered with conviction in his tone.

That made the brunette smiles "I'm glad to hear that" – he answered.

Then Keisuke stares at him as if he is waiting for something.

"And I'm so happy with you too, in fact, I'm so happy that I want to be with you forever" – Hideya said with a big smile.

Forever

Keisuke pause for a moment after hearing the word from him and now he has those same vague feelings again "Y-yeah... forever" – he said as he continues eating.

The brunette gave him one last glance before turning his attention to his meal.
