I am horrible at soccer.
My terrible ability to play basketball has nothing on how atrocious I am at soccer.
Mrs. Truman blows her whistle.
"Kick the ball Quinn, for crying out loud it is sitting still right in front of you." She says exasperated.
I take a few steps back before running forward and kicking the ball.
Except I miss it and fall flat on my ass.
Everyone laughs and I groan.
That is going to leave a bruise.
"Lily you are going in for Quinn." Mrs. Truman says.
Oh thank the gods.

"You should've seen her." Poppy laughs, "Falls straight on her butt from kicking air."
I roll my eyes, "And it still hurts." I grumble.
Jordan pouts, "Aww poor baby, want me to kiss it better?"
"Oh she would like that." Poppy giggles.
I send her a glare.
"If you think that was bad you should've seen her sophomore year. We had P.E. at the same time she did." Casper says, "They were doing hurdles and Quinn's back leg got caught and she went down." He laughs.
I prop my leg up and roll my socks down showing the thin white scar on my leg.
"Yeah and I get to keep that embarrassing moment with me forever." I say dryly.
Jordan run his finger tips over the scar making goosebumps erupt where his fingers lightly trace.
"You weren't wrong when you said you were only good at like two sports." Poppy says and I nod.
"Sports and I are not friends, more like frenemies." I tell her.
I roll my sock back up before setting my foot down on the ground.
"Wanna come over later?" Jordan asks me and I nod before shaking my head.
"I want to, but I can't" I tell him softly.
"Are you going to wallow about that stupid test question, it's been two days Taylor." He tells me and I shake my head.
"I promised Poppy I would hang out with her tonight." I lean closer to him, "I think it has something to do with Cas." I tell him in a whisper.
She's been acting all fidgety around him.
Then this morning she asked if she could talk to me tonight.
"Oooh girl talk?" He asks and I nod.
"Will you be talking about me?" He asks, a smirk on his face.
Conceded asshole.
"Oh yeah." I say nodding my head enthusiastically. "I'll tell her how you eat bananas upside down, you bite oranges like an apple instead of breaking the slices apart like you are supposed to. How when you sleep on your stomach you snore loud enough to wake the dead. Should I keep going?" I ask.
He scoffs, "You're not going to tell her how I let you go through my vinyls, or how just the other day I opened that bag of m&m's for you? Or how you love it when my tongue-" I place my hand over his mouth.
