It's officially finals week and the last finals I will be taking as a high school student.

I spent the entire weekend holed up in my room reviewing all the material I need for each of my classes.

According to Poppy, Casper texted saying Jordan was doing the same.

I'm still ahead of him slightly but I need to hold my position.

Not that it matters though, the letters have already been sent out.

All we know is one of us got accepted and the other didn't.

Still finals will determine Valedictorian, which I still want badly.

Unlucky for me so does Jordan.

I finish getting dressed as Poppy enters the room still in her pajamas.

"Let's get finals week over with." She grumbles as she pulls her uniform out of one of the drawers in the dresser.

Once she's dressed we make our way to get breakfast before heading to our first class.

Today I had finals in English and Science, which means only one with Jordan in the class with me today.

Our history final wasn't until Thursday.

Sitting down in English beside Jordan I wait for our test to start.

"Nervous?" Jordan asks and I shake my head, "Never. We're writing an essay about a topic of our choice, I have this in the bag."

He scoffs, "think again Taylor. Remember our last essay?"

I nod, "That doesn't count."

I had been slightly sick with a cold that day so I sort of misread the prompt but normally I was a better essay writer than Jordan.

Normally.

Our teacher passes out the tests and we begin to work.

The first part of the test is multiple choice and the second part was the essay.

I zip through the multiple choice before I begin the essay.

Taking a peak at the dark haired god beside me I see he's still working on the multiple choice part.

I start brainstorming my essay before I write it out.

I make sure to stay in the designated five hundred word count, I refuse to get points off because I wrote five hundred and one words.

After I finish my essay I reread it to make sure there are no errors before turning it in.

When I sit down I give Jordan a smug grin before sitting back down beside him.

A few minutes later he finishes and turns it in.

When the bell rings we get up from our seats.

"That was easy breezy Campbell, looks like you struggled a little." I tease.

He snorts, "You wish babe. Just because you finished before me doesn't make your answers any more correct."

"well duh since they are all correct."

He nods, "whatever helps you sleep at night."

Later I take my science test.

Of course I struggle and I begin to plot ways of killing the boy behind me.

He's popping his gum so loud as I try to solve this one problem.

I hear another pop and I turn around to see it stuck in his hair.

I stifle a laugh as he asks our teacher if he can go to the restrooms.

Evilly I hope it doesn't come out and he has to cut it out of his hair.

Ok so maybe I have some fixation with jacking up people hair that I don't like.

Oh well I'll blame that on my parents.

The next day we have our P.E. final.

Basically we have to run five miles before class ends.

I begin to lace up my tennis shoes as Sadie walks over to me.

"Wanna run together?" She asks and I nod.

We had ran together last year for finals to motivate the other to finish.

Five miles meant twenty laps around the track.

Oh how I love P.E.

I walk over to Poppy and offer for her to run with us and she agrees and the three of us end up running the five miles together.

By the end I am exhausted and my whole body hurts.

Luckily I have no other finals today.

Of course during dinner Jordan and Campbell made fun of me for limping and I contemplated on kicking them both in the balls to shut them up.

I felt nice though and didn't do anything....

Well maybe I through dinner rolls at them.

I even nailed Casper in the head with one, it was really funny.

The next day I have a final in math, which is also not one of my strong subjects.

Still I feel confident when I walk out of the testing room that day.

Thursday comes around and that means my history final with Jordan.

He had been bragging all week about how easy all his finals were and I knew he had no problem in math and science.

Still if I really concentrated I knew I could beat him at history.

He tries to psyche me out before the test but I don't let it get into my head as I roll through the test with ease.

I also had my French final today.

Honestly that class hadn't been as much fun without Della but I still enjoyed learning another language even if it was just a few sentences and key words.

On Friday we had no other finals it was basically a free day to relax after a 'stressful week.'

Nothing was truly stressful. I knew I would pass it was just whether or not I had the highest scores or not.

That weekend Poppy convinces Casper, Jordan and I to come with her to visit her parents.

Of course I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to meet the Fredrick Peterson so I accepted.

He was actually a really cool guy, and Poppy's mom was what I wish my mom was like.

I also may or may not have donated to her foundation in my dads name.

He could suck it honestly. I just couldn't wait for him to see his money went towards something Fredrick supported.

Still the money was helping people so he wouldn't gripe too hard about it. Public image or whatever

And I got to donate to something I care about.

By the following week I find out Jordan and I received something over the weekend.

Something that determined what our future looked like.
