DAY 52

Part One

Parker Jensen was one of the nicest people Honey had ever met.

He ticked all of the boxes - he behaved nothing less than a gentlemen the entire time they were hanging out, he loved Star Wars just as much as her little brother did, he seemed genuinely interested in getting to know her, and he didn't pressure her in the slightest about when the next "date" was or when he was going to see her again.

So why couldn't she stop thinking about Steve Rogers the whole time Parker Jensen was being the ideal guy right in front of her?

It wasn't for lack of trying, that she knew for sure. Honey had struggled to focus on Parker's cute dimples, intellectual conversation, the whole nine yards - he was insanely adorable in almost every sense of the word. Yet, all she could keep imagining in her naive head was the facsimile of the man in front of her just with Steve's face plastered over top of Parker's.

The entire ordeal just left her feeling more confused than before.

Tracing her pointer finger on the design of the marble island perched in the middle of her kitchen aimlessly, Honey could hardly focus on the fact that she had exams to study for and a shift at the cafe in the morning. Like a cherry on top of her already bountiful cake, a few knocks resonated from her front door, tearing her away from her redundant daze.

Sucking in a deep breath, she patted her palms against the top of the counter, sliding them off the marble as she strode towards her apartment door. Honey wished she could say she was even surprised to see Steve's face on the other side as she whisked it open, however, his sudden appearances at her home were becoming a regular occurrence.

"You went out with him anyways?" Rogers hissed through a incredulous scowl, pushing past her and inside of her living room before she could even manage to greet him first.

"How did you-"

"After we talked about not seeing anyone else," he continued, his hands resting irritably on his hips as he paced back and forth in front of her couch now. "After having that lame ass conversation, you still went out with him?"

Honey couldn't help but meekly notice the way that his dress pants fit snugly around his waist, complimenting his very nice asset that he possessed behind him, or the way his black tie was loosely put together against his dark blue button up - as if he'd been messing with it out of frustration or stress.
