the smell of rose and other delicate scents was the first thing that filled taeyong's nose. the usually dull-looking dining hall was turned into a more elegant-looking space, with candles lit all around and small bouquets of white daisies all around.

"what is this?" sicheng looked around with sparkling eyes.

"welcome to your getaway."

the group turns and sees mark, jaehyun, and yuta all standing there with plates of food.

"we know how hard you guys worked this past time, especially with all the crazy things that had gone on," jaehyun starts.

"and this earthquake is probably what tired you out the most and maybe even burned you out," mark continued.

"so we decided that with the little time given, we would help to ease your mind a bit and give you this," yuta did jazz hands towards the set up table, that was decked out with white ceramic dishes and silverware. "johnny and taeil are cooking in the kitchen."

"thank god, you guys are banned back there," jungwoo jokes. "but what's the menu for today anyway?"

"bulgogi," taeil emerges from the kitchen carrying the large platter of food and sets in the middle of the table.

"and budaejigae," johnny follows with a large steaming pot and sets it.

"first time eating budaejigae in a military base," taeyong jokes when sitting down. jaehyun takes the seat next to him and hands him a napkin to put on his lap. "thanks."

"everything looks amazing," doyoung compliments. "thank you!"

"you guys really deserve this, now let's eat!"

"jungwoo, how did you meet lucas anyway?" taeyong asked the chef.

mark, donghyuck, and johnny were outside watching the stars while yuta and sicheng were doing the dishes as they had lost rock-paper-scissors. the rest were sitting at the table with their mugs of coffee, talking.

"how have you seen lucas anyways? before the first day you were here anyway," jaehyun asked?

"fun fact, taeyong hyung was my doctor while i was in korea," jungwoo smiled. "and he met lucas when he came to korea after your guys' mission. he barged into the room while i was getting checked up."

"ah, so that's why jungwoo seemed really happy when hearing you were coming," taeil exclaimed.

"yeah, i missed hyung so i wanted to see him again. but because of being chasa, it all changed."

"anyways, your story?" doyoung asked.

"oh yeah, so we met when he was training in korea. i was also training and you may not know it but i'm a backup member for the superhuman team. so while i was training, we had some chinese soldiers come to our base, saying that it was to "diversify our efforts to improving diplomatic connections with china". and low and behold, lucas was one of them. and surprisingly, i didn't like him at first."

"what, why?" taeyong was shocked. they looked so perfect together, how could they have not immediately liked each other?

"cause he was really loud," jungwoo laughed out loud. "he is a really loud and crazy person and back then, i was a really shy and quiet person. so of course we didn't work out well. but then we had a mock mission to complete for the exam and since we were put into the same group, i thought i would have to deal with it."
