The Orc With A Heart

Chapter 20: Long Road Ahead

It was quite a long, and almost end less conversation that the both of them were having with one another, as I knew that there was going to be a lot of disagreements with each other, as it always seemed like humans and orcs could never agree on one thing with one another, sadly enough, as I let out quite a bit of a rough, as well as I heavy sigh to my self, all at once, as I just stared down at the ground through all that was going on.
My mother had wanted to talk to me, as she had wanted to tell me as to how it was that I could go live with the orcs in peace if I wanted to, and I could try to make peace with the humans. That was after all what it was that they were talking about right now of course, but it was my mother who had wanted to speak to me, as she had not even known that Callan was coming, all at the exact same time as well.
Callan how ever, just seemed like he could not stop asking questions, and it would never give me any sort of a chance to ask about the past, and what it was that I was even doing, and what it was that I was even going to do at the exact same time as well, once it was that I decided that I was going to test out what it was like living with the orcs for a while, and if that was what I really did want, to go and live with my own kind.
Callan did not seem like he was gonna give me a chance to speak to her sadly, so I had just had to stare down at the ground with quite a bit of a blank look on my face, as I knew that there was really not all that much that I could even do with all of this in the very first place any ways, as I just stared at the grass that was below me, as I knew that we were still on orc land right now, at the exact same time too.
That was one thing that it seemed like the humans and the orcs could agree on at the very least, thankfully enough, as to just who it was that would own the land, and where it was that they would own it, all at the exact same time as well, as I knew that there was a border between the 2 cultures, all at the exact same time as well, as I knew that no matter what the case was, they would not ever live in peace.
Clearly humans did not want to agree with the border how ever, as when ever it was that the orcs set up a village within maybe 20 kilometers of the border, they always attacked it and tore it down, as I knew that I would in fact feel bad for the orcs on that, if they weren't so nasty and disgusting, and they did not go and attack human cities all of the time.
Though they rarely were successful with it none the less, as usually when they were able to take over, there would soon be back up in a few weeks, for the humans to take back control over to city, all at the exact same time as well. A part of me felt like Callan was right with what it was that he was trying to do, in order to make peace between the 2 nations, but it was clear that my mother did not think that it was going to work.
Callan just kept on trying though, as he tried to make, and think of new plans that he thought might be good enough for her to think that it could work, but each and every time that he tried, she would always shut him down, and I knew that it was annoying Callan, and it was making Clan reckless, all at the exact same time as well.
There had been silence for quite a bit of some time finally how ever, thankfully enough for me, never the less, as it finally felt like I could have some time to think to my self for just a little bit, as I could see that Callan was trying to think of his next plan, to go and see what it was that my mother might think would work. My mother was patiently waiting, and listening to what it was that he had to say, but I could tell that she was starting to get quite a bit annoyed by it at this point, which I could not blame her for.
As I stood there in this same spot, all at the exact same time as well, I then all of the sudden began to realize, all at the exact same time as well, that there was silence, and that no one was talking at all right now, as I saw that even my good friend Ashton had his head quite a bit low to the ground right now, as I could tell that he was thinking on all that had just been said, all at the exact same time as well.
I did not care about all of that really, as I knew that I was in the army, but at the exact same time too, I also kind of felt like I was tired of every thing having to be about war, all at the exact same time as well, as I then shook off all of those thoughts, all at the exact same time as well, once again, as I once again started to realize, that no one was talking right now, and that this was my perfect chance, now more than ever, to speak to my mother.
Just as I thought on that, all at the exact same time as well, I then all of the sudden noticed that my mother then all of the sudden turned her head over to me, and she looked at me right in to my eyes, all at the exact same time as well, as she then all of the sudden nodded right over to me, which I was quite a bit shocked by at first, as it seemed like it was perfect timing.
Or maybe, it was what she had told me not all too long ago, earlier today, about the fact that she had said that she always knew when her son was near, and she could always feel when ever it was that I was in danger, as she had told me that she had freaked out several times when she had been in an orc village, due to that fact, all at the exact same time as well.
She had also told me that she had gone to live in an orc village near the border, due to the fact that she had some sort of hope that she might be able to see me again one day, which it turned out that her hope, and her wish did in fact come true for her in the end, though I felt like she was not proud of me at all, as I just stood there with quite a bit of a blank look on my face.
It was quite a bit hard for me to tell, off of this orc, as to just what it was that she was even thinking, if I was not going to lie to my self either, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, and I then all of the sudden began to shake off all of those thoughts, all at once, as I saw her tilt her head at me, all at the exact same time as well, as I could tell that she was a little bit lost right now, for some odd reason or another.
It then all of the sudden hit me, all at the exact same time as well, as to just what it was that had happened a few moments before now, and the fact that she had nodded to me, all at the exact same time as well, as it had been clear to me that she had in fact known that I had wanted to speak to her finally, all at the exact same time as well.
I also knew that I wanted to go ahead and speak up to her, before Callan interrupted me, and he ruined that chance for me, all at the exact same time as well, as I blinked my eyes a few times, as I then did in fact nod back to her, as I could tell that my mother had her full attention on me right now, thankfully enough, as I then all of the sudden began to start to speak up to her, all at the exact same time as well, as I knew that she was in fact listening as to just what it was that I even had to say to her in the very first place any ways, none the less.
"What would we do... Where would we go? Would I come with you?" I said to her, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden saw that both Ashton, and Callan, had all of the sudden turned their heads over to me, as I could see that the both of them both had quite a bit of a shocked look on their faces, which I was not all too sure if it were due to the fact that I had in fact spoken up in the very first place any ways, or if it were more due to the fact that I had said what it was that I had even just said in the very first place as well.
I gulped, as I felt like I could not stand here and stare at her with a straight look on my face for any longer, as I felt like a bit of an idiot, and a bit of a coward for what it was that I had just said, all at the exact same time as well, as I was sure that Callan had turned his head over to me, as I knew that it was against the law, and that it was a crime to leave the army, all at the exact same time as well, which I felt like there was not all too much that he could do to stop me, if I was going to move in to the orc territory, unless he was simply just going to kill me.
I knew that he was not going to kill me how ever, as I had figured out that it clearly was not his intent to do such a thing to me in the very first place any ways, as well. I still was not all too sure as to just what it was that was even his full intent, as I was sure that he had made it obvious at this point, though I knew that I was too stupid to realize it if he had in fact made it obvious in the very first place any ways.
I sighed a bit of a soft sigh to my self, all at the exact same time as well, as I then got my focus off of Callan, all at the exact same time too, as I knew that I was tired of thinking about him, as it had all been about him ever since we had got here, and I really was quite a bit tired of it, all at the exact same time too, as I knew that now it was my turn, and it was my time to shine, and it was my time to speak up for once, finally.
Though, at the exact same time as well, I could not help but see from the corner of my eyes, on the other side of me, as I looked away from Callan, as I had not been all too worried about him for any longer, that Ashton had a bit of a look of some pain on his face, all at the exact same time too, as it was clear that what ever it was that I had said, had hurt him for some odd reason or another.
I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I had said, that might have hurt him, as I had not brought up his name at all in it, all at the exact same time as well. At least I was fairly certain that I had not, as my memory was too awful to think back on just what it was that I had even said in the very first place any ways.
I was fairly certain that I had not said any thing bad about him though, as I knew that there was nothing had that I could say about him, as he was my best friend after all, and I knew that he would take his own life to save mine, as I knew that I would do the exact same thing for him, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden shook my head once again, to try to shake off all of those thoughts all at once, as well.
I got my eyes, and I got my focus on my mother instead, as I saw that she had all of the sudden nodded to me, all at the exact same time as well, as it was clear that she was telling me that she was about to speak to me, and that she was trying to get my attention, all at the exact same time as well, as I let out quite a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, all at once, as I then all of the sudden lifted my head up at her, all at the exact same time too.
I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should do at first, but it then all of the sudden came to me, as to just what it was that I should do in the very first place any ways, as I then all of the sudden nodded back to her, all at the exact same time as well, as I just stood there and stared at her with quite a bit of a blank look on my own face, all at the exact same time too, as I then blinked my eyes a few times, and I then began to listen to her, all at once, as I then began to start to hear her begin to speak to me, all at the exact same time as well.
"You would come with me... I think that I have a plan... If what you said is true Callan, and you don't have an evil intent in what it is that you are trying to tell me..." She said to me, as she then all of the sudden turned her head over to Callan, all at the exact same time too, as she then looked at him right in to his eyes, as I could tell that she was trying to test him right now, and she was trying to make sure that he was not lying, and that he was not evil at all, either.
It was clear to me that it was not the case at all, as I had got to know Callan a bit better over the last few weeks that we had been in the legion together, and also based off of the blank, and lost look on his face, I could tell that it was not what it was that he was thinking about doing at all, all at the exact same time as well. I was quite a bit lost by all of it if I was not going to lie to my self how ever, as I felt like I was quite a bit of an idiot due to that fact, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden blinked my eyes a few times.
I sighed quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I just stared down at the ground for quite a bit of some time none the less, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I was even thinking about right at this very moment in time. I suppose, that I was kind of thinking on just what it was that my mother had said to me, and back over to Callan, all at the exact same time as well, as I was still a bit worried that Callan might have a different plan in all of this.
I knew that my father had told me that I could not trust some one that was in power, and if Callan truly was the prince, and that he was the son of the king like he said he was, than I just was not all too sure if I could in fact trust him, all at the exact same time as well, none the less, as I gulped quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I just was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should even think right now.
I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I then did my best to try to get my focus off of all of those thoughts, all at once, as I did my best to get my focus on the fact that my mother had in fact just spoken to me a few moments ago, about the fact that she was going to join me in the journey to the kings throne, and the palace, to talk about the fact that the king of a human kingdom was going to challenge all of it, all at the exact same time too, to a battle.
I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I blinked my eyes a few times, as I did my best to get my mind on the fact that I knew that I was quite a bit worried, as well as the fact that I was kind of scared to go in to an orc home, at the exact same time too, as I knew that I did not act like an orc at all, and they would immediately think that some thing was up with me, all at the exact same time too.
I just wanted to at least try it, and I did in fact want to test the water on the life that I felt like I could have had, if things had not gone the way that they had, and that I had not been the son of the orc king, all at the exact same time too, as I let out a bit of a soft sigh to my self, all at once, and I then all of the sudden got my focus on the fact that I saw that my best friend, Ashton, seemed to have a bit of a look of some pain on his face, all at the exact same time too, which did in fact confuse me a great deal, as I then all of the sudden turned my head over to him.
I tilted my head at him, all at the exact same time too, as I did my best to try to read just what it was that he might even be thinking on in the very first place any ways, as I knew that I was terrible with that kind of stuff for one thing, and I also knew that I usually came with an assumption that typically was not true, and it usually was not reality at all, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden shook my head at the exact same time too, as I saw him just dip his head quite a bit low to the ground, all at the exact same time as well, as he all of the sudden saw me look over to him.
I blinked my eyes a few times, as it was clear to me that he was in quite a bit of some pain, all at the exact same time too, as I let out quite a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, as I did my best to try to calm my self down, as I was fairly certain that it had not been due to the fact as to just what it was that I had done at all, as I felt like it might just be due to fact that I knew that I had talked to my mother about the fact that I was going to the orc kingdom.
It was clear to me as well, that he too viewed me as his best friend, all at the exact same time too, as that did in fact make me feel quite a bit better, all at the exact same time as well, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I did my best to try to not blame my self, and try not to feel too guilty about all of it, as I knew that this was in fact some thing that I needed to do, all at the exact same time as well.
I turned my head away from him, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden began to hear the voice of Callan, which got my attention on to him, all at once, as I got my mind of off my friend thankfully enough for me, as I then let out quite a bit of a soft sigh to my self, as I turned my head over to Callan, quite a bit curious as to just what it was that he even had to say back to my mother in the very first place any ways, as I blinked my eyes a few times, and I just stared at him with quite a bit of a blank look on my face, and quite a bit of a blank look in my eyes, all at the exact same time too.
I was not all too sure as to just what it was that was going on at first, until I all of the sudden noticed that my mother then all of the sudden nodded to Callan from the corner of my eyes, all at the exact same time as well, as I blinked my eyes just a few times. Not too long after all of that had seemed to go down, I then all of the sudden began to start to hear Callan, as he continued with just what it was that he was even going to say to her in the very first place any ways, never the less.
"Alright... I will surely be able to convince my father to go to a 'challenge' that is given to him by the orc king... If you can some how convince the orc king to agree to it, than we will see what we can do from there..." He said back to my mother, as he just stared at her with quite a bit of a blank look on his face, as well as the fact that he had his eyes squinted at her, all at the exact same time too, almost as if he was challenging her him self.
If I was going to be for real with my self, if it was that they were to get in to a fight right now, as much as I had seen the skill of Callan, I felt like my mother might stand a fair chance against him, due to the fact that she was a fair bit stronger than him for one thing, and also due to the fact that I felt like I was going to think that way about my mother no matter what the case was, all at the exact same time too.
Hell... For all that I knew, she might have some sort of secret and hidden powers that she could have, that I might not know of. She was still some how alive after all, even after the fact that my father had sworn to me that he had killed her. I had to believe my father, as I knew that he was not one to lie to me, all at the exact same time as well, as I felt like he probably had in fact believed that he had killed her all at the exact same time as well, but it was clear with my own eyes, that it was not the case at all.
I gulped all at once, as I did my best to try to get my focus off of all of those thoughts, all at the exact same time as well, instead. I did my best to get my focus on the fact that I had to know as to just what it was that was going to go on with me, and just what it was that was going to happen to me with all of this, all at the exact same time too, as I looked over to my mother, all at once, as I stared at her dead in to her eyes, with quite a bit of a blank look on my own face.
I saw her look right back at me, with a bit of a blank look on her own face, right back at me her self, as it kind of did in fact make me shiver a little bit, if I was not going to lie to my self, as I then all of the sudden dipped my head quite a bit low to the ground, all at once, as I felt like I could not hang with that woman any longer.
I just stared down beneath me for quite a bit of some time, as I looked over at my good friend Ashton, from the corner of my eyes, all at the exact same time too, as I saw that he had quite a bit of a blank look on his face still, which I was not all too sure as to just why it was that he was still like that, as I would have thought that he would have got over all of that at this point.
I blinked my eyes a few times, as I just kept my eyes, and I kept my focus on the grass that was below me any ways, as it kind of felt like it was after all, the only thing that I really could have my focus, and I could have my mind on right at this very moment in time, in the very first place any ways, as I felt like I did not want to think on any thing at all, as I felt like I did not want to think on any more sort of idiot assumptions, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
As I stared down at the ground, all at the exact same time too, for just a little while longer, I then all of the sudden began to start to hear the voice of my mother, as she began to start to speak up, all at the exact same time too. At first I had thought that she had not been speaking to me at all, as I had thought that she had been speaking to Callan, all at the exact same time as well, as that was after all what the focus of the conversation had seemed to be in in the very first place any ways, never the less.
I blinked my eyes a few times, as I then all of the sudden began to realize that it was not the case at all how ever, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden heard my name brought up all at once, which got my focus on the fact that she was apparently talking to me right now, as I lifted my head up to her, and I tilted my head at her, all at the exact same time too, to let her know that I was a little bit lost with the situation that was even going on right now, in the very first place any ways.
I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I then all of the sudden shook my head all at the exact same time as well, as I then got my focus on the thoughts instead, that had to do with of course, that she was speaking to me right at this very moment in time, never the less, as I saw her nod to me, all at the exact same time too.
I blinked my eyes a few times, as I was still quite a bit lost by all of it, if I was not going to lie to my self, as I then all of the sudden just let out quite a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, as it was one that she had not noticed never the less, as she all of the sudden began to speak up to me, all at once, and I did in fact begin to start to listen as to all that she even had to say to me in the very first place any ways.
"Alright... We will try to talk to him... Zin... Go get your stuff ready, we've got a long road ahead..."
