!!TW!! VIOLENT stuff????
"No." I state firmly while shaking my head.
"Oh come on! It's literally nothing!" Louis says, taking the box from my hands.
"In that case I can take care of it myself!" Taking it right back from him, holding it behind my back to make it harder for him to reach.
"You could save the money and move out." He says, tilting his head to the side while raising his eyebrows, "Besides, I got you into it so it's only fair."
"You just want to spend money." I shake my head, starting to walk around him towards the cashier.
"I have money to spend." He argues.
"Donate it." I sigh, keeping my eyes on the register as I walk up to it, placing the phone in front of the cashier.
"I am!" Louis exclaims behind me, "To you."
"Idiot, I don't need it!" I state.
"Will you be paying with card or cash, ma'am?" The cashier interrupts us.
"Cash." I say with a smile.
"Card." Louis says over my voice, making the cashier look at us both with confusion washing over her face. She looks between us waiting for an answer. I bring my foot up to kick Louis's ankle behind me while keeping a kind smile to the poor cashier.
"Cash." I repeat, opening up my purse to get the money out. I gather the bills that are folded and hand them over. Before the cashier manages to get the money from my hand, an arm comes between us and a beep is heard on the other side of me. Louis holds his card to the card terminal and the transaction goes through from his quick blipping. "You absolute jerk." I shake my head.
"Keep your money, damn it!" He says, taking the phone off the counter while the cashier looks at us quite worried. I glance at her apologetically before grabbing Louis's arm to pull him out of the store.
"Thank you!" I yell over my shoulder as we walk out on the busy street again. I grab his hand and holds it out in front of me to put the money in it, but he doesn't take it, just shakes his head while holding the phone out with his other.
Since my phone is broken, after me committing a homicide on it last night, me and Louis went out first thing in the morning to get me a new one. Of course, Louis couldn't leave it alone and after spending twenty minutes just arguing about which phone to get, he also had to spend another ten arguing about wanting to pay for it. I don't want him to pay for my things to petty me and I don't want him to pay for my things because he thinks I can't do it myself. I know he has the money, but it's not like I need him to pay for all my things all the time.
Of course, he didn't see it like that.
"Take the phone and keep the money you stubborn mumpsimus!" He exclaims, pushing the phone to my chest. My lips slowly moving up to a smile, because who the hell uses words like that?
"What did you just call me?" I ask with a laugh, taking the phone from him, because I still need it.
"Oh, fuck off." He shakes his head, putting his hands on my shoulders to turn me around and get me to stop walking down the street, without taking my money. "Keep the damn money, why can't I just pay for it?" He asks, leading me down the street with his hand on my lower back.
"Because I have my own money, I got them for doing that awful karaoke thing, remember?" I say, still holding the money out in front of him on my side, even though he doesn't even acknowledge it, he just keeps us walking the way we came from.
