When she got shot, I cannot think straight. Seeing the blood flowing in her back frightened me.  That she might die but the doctor said she was not hit directly. Nadaplisan lang daw ito.

When she decided to make our relationship official I'm the happiest man alive. 2 days left I will be in Cebu but I cannot leave her because Amore is not captured yet. The thing I was worried too is her birthday.

Sa 28 na yun. I'm such a bad boyfriend. Papunta ako ngayon sa opisina ni Chief.
I open his door and saw him busy talking to someone. "Later we'll talk."

I salute to him and he salutes back. He gesture me to sit down. "What's bring you here?"

"Chief, you said, our mission will be last week of this month. Are we needed to stay long?"

"No, its 2 days only. It's very urgent. 23 ngayon, ipapadala kayo bukas."

"Bukas? Chief, alam naman ninyo na may problema akong naiwan dito."

"Alam ko. But this mission is very important. We'll be capturing the most wanted drug lord in Cebu. About sa problema mo, I will be assigning people to get that woman captured. Don't worry, I will also put security in your girlfriend's house."

I felt relief. But I cannot stop worrying.

"Chief, magpapaalam na po ako."

Lumabas na ako sa opisina nito. Kailangan ko makausap si Gracia. Sumakay na ako sa kotse pagkalabas agad. Pinatakbo ko agad ito papunta sa bahay nila.

Reaching their house, I saw my girl sitting outside. She's really beautiful. I approach her but she didn't see me.

"Hey, why were you outside?"

Napatingin ito agad. Tumitig ito sa akin bago nagsalita."Nandito ka na naman, hindi ka ba nagsasawa?''

"Magsasawa ka ba kung napakaganda ang makikita pag pumunta ka?"

"Dami mong alam, umupo ka nga dito."

Naupo ako sa tabi nito. Nahihirapan akong sabihin dito na kailangan ko nang umalis.

"May sasabihin ka di ba?"

"Ma'am." Paano ko ba 'to sisimulan? Naduduwag ako.

"Say it! Masamang paghintayin ang babae. Just tell me,"sabi nito habang nakatitig sa akin. How can I leave her?

"Di ba sabi ko, I have mission sa Cebu. Ano,uhm, it's, scheduled early. I need to fly to Cebu tomorrow."

Hindi ito nagsalita. Baka magtampo ito sa akin di ko kayanin.

"Ma'am, please, wag ka naman magtampo. I'll make sure I will be coming sa birthday mo."

Sinunggaban ako nito ng yakap. Pakiramdam ko di ako makakaalis kaagad dahil mamimiss ko siya. Niyakap ko din ito pabalik.

I can hear her sobs. She's crying. I'm guilty leaving her.

"Basta, umuwi ka sa birthday ko, at huwag kang magpapabaril dun. Gusto ko buo kang uuwi."

"I'm the best ma'am.  Don't worry."

She let go of the hug and cup my face. She kissed me. Tears keep flowing in our eyes. After the passionate kiss, we let our foreheads met.
"I love you so much ma'am. I promise I'll be with you in your birthday. Kahit anuman ang mangyari."

"Don't get shot. Call me bago ka umalis at pagdating mo doon."

"Of course. Don't cry. Two days lang yun."

Today is my flight. We'll be using the helicopter. We are 8 in the team. I called Gracia before we go. She's crying again.

We leave Manila 05:00 hours. Full gear and battle suit kaming lahat. My team members started to test their ammunition.

"Team Leader, sa tingin mo ba, mabilis lang ang paghuli natin sa drug lord na yun?"

"Hoy, Salvacion,what's with you? Mukhang tinamaan ka ng nerbyos. Is it your first day having this heart wrecking mission?"

Inaasar siya ni Rodriguez. "Tama na yan. Ang kailangan natin isipin, capture him without getting injured or shot."

"Tama si team leader. Let's be positive and captured him fast for us to reunite with our family." Si Martinez ito. His assign as sniper.

Buong biyahe kaming tahimik. May iilang nagdasal. Ibinaba kami sa military base ng Cebu. Sinalubong kami agad ng pinuno nila. "I'm sorry Mr. Barrameda for the urgent call."

Naglakad kami papasok. May ilang sumaludo sa kanya.

"It's okay sir. Police and military are not different. We both have responsibilities in capturing criminals."

Dinala ako nito sa may computer area nila. All are modern  and for catching high profiled criminals.

"This is our IT expert, Henry Dela Cruz," pakilala niya dito. Nagsaludo ito sa akin. Nakipagkamay ako sa kanya.

"Sir, sa ngayon, nakikita niyo sa monitoring natin that he was last found in a restaurant. Sumakay ito sa isang kotse na kulay asul. Sinundan na sila ngayon ng asset natin."

"As scheduled din sir, may transactions ito with the American clients. We got their profiles." May pinindot ito sa computer. Lumabas ang tinutukoy niya. It's Richard Smith, the business man in the Philippines with American blood. The other one, Philip Butcher, his not just a drug dealer but a gun smuggler.

"The date will be tomorrow."

Pinagpahinga muna kami dahil bukas sasabak na kami sa aksyon. Mayroon silang tent para maging temporary shelter namin. Nang maitayo ito ay nagsimula akong pumasok sa loob. Pangdalawahan ito. Si Martinez ang kasama ko.

I comfortably lay down and scroll my phone. The signal were block to easy track of the target. They don't want interruptions. Pumasok din si Martinez.

"Team Leader, kayo po pala kasama ko? How lucky of me,"nakangiting sabi nito. Pinapalaki niya ulo ko.

"Ikaw talaga. May asawa ka na Martinez?"
"Wala pa sir pero nililigawan meron. Tagal pa ako sagutin nun dahil nag-aaral pa."

"Good luck on that."

"Kayo Team Leader, meron ba?"

"Actually we're just 2 days of being official. Unfair ko sa kanya."

Hindi ko pa nga niyaya ito magdate as my girlfriend pero heto ako sa trabaho. Swerte ko talaga dito. I start missing her.

"She will understand you. Alam naman niya ang nature of work natin, walang oras na pinipili."

I hope this mission will finish as soon as possible. We decided to rest ourselves.
