Chapter thirteen

Harrison's POV

I'm happy. I really am. I mean This feels nice having my family around me. We're currently on the drive to the takeaway and rhis has put her earphones in while me and Chris talk about sports. We got there and rhis said she wanted to stay in the car so I went in with Chris. " hey bro can I get 2 spicy fillet burgers one with no salad" I said Rhislett does not like salad on her burger. She says it's soggy and nasty. And then Chris spoke " can we also get a spicy wrap and chicken wings meal please" the guy nodded and Chris handed him the money before I could " hey you didn't have to pay I have money" and he laughed and put his hand on my shoulder " I know buddy but I'm you're dad so you don't pay when I'm around". I just smiled at him because I've always paid for me and Rhislett. I went and got the drinks out of the fridge sprite for me, pepsi for Chris and Rhislett and then a Diet Coke for Scarlett. Chris had gotten the food and we left. Rhis took her earphones out and asked me " no salad?". " yes no salad and you have chilli sauce in the burger how you like it" and she just smiled wide at me and said thank you too us both.

Chris POV

That smile makes  me smile. I love that smile. She's happy and it shows when she smiles. Even if it is because of a burger. I'd buy that whole shop if it meant she was smiling like that all the time. Harrison was everything I'd hoped he's be when he was older. I didn't have to worry about him settling in. Rhisey on the other hand I had too she seemed okay with me but her and Scarlett aren't doing great. I parked up outside the house and went in. I smelt the familiar scent of the best cookies I had ever eaten. Another matka recipe. I went in and they were still in the oven. Harrison spoke " Scarlett you're making cookies? Wait are they the hard ones or the soft gooey ones?" And Scarlett smiled wide at him and said " soft gooey cookies are the only kind I make" and Harrison smiled and went over to hug her. That was sweet but I felt my heart strings pull when I turned to see Rhislett's face. She was emotionalise but I saw the look of hurt in her eyes. And she just turned around and walked into the living room. I wanted to say something but Harrison had taken the food out and went to the dining table and placed his own and Rhislett's down with the sauces she would want and went to call her.

Scarlett's POV

Harrison was coming over to hug me and I was ready to cry I held my baby boy in my arms but something drew my attention to the door. I saw those blue eyes looking at me but when she saw I was looking she left the room. I shook it off and held Harry longer. He then sorted the food and went to call Rhislett. Then Chris spoke " that was sweet" and he smiled at me. I smiled back but I knew he noticed Rhislett too.  I checked the timer for the cookies and I had plenty of time to eat and take them out when they were ready.

Rhislett's POV

I looked up from my phone to see haz and Scarlett hugging and my heart dropped to the bottom of my stomach. Why didn't she like me. I mean she's so motherly and loving to Harry and cold and snappy with me. I was ready to cry honestly because all I ever wanted was a mum and even my real one doesn't want me. I saw Chris and Scarlett looking at me so I turned to leave but I don't know where my room is so I went to the living room instead. A minute later Harry came in and said " hey frogger you're foods going to get cold let's go eat" and I gave him a weak smile and went back. I pulled myself together no showing emotion. Emotion is weakness. We ate and the three of them talked while I sat there eating. I could feel  eyes on me but I ignored it and just eat. When I was done I chucked my rubbish in the bin and washed my hands. I turned and saw the three of them laughing. Wtf is happening. I rlly don't like this I feel uncomfortable like I'm an outsider. I cleared my throat and said " I don't know where I'm staying" Scarlett got up and put her rubbish in the bin and came to wash her hands " I'll take you now Chris can you show Harrison to his room" he nodded and they kept on eating. I followed her upstairs and she took me done the hall to a bedroom. " holy fu-"Scarlett looked at me with that mother glare thing she does and I caught myself "-dge sicles holy fudgsicles" and she gave me an amused look because who the hell says that.
