The Umbarans weren't letting up the attack on the clone forces. The keyblades wielders were trying to keep the clones alive, but the laser fire was too thick. After a few minutes they got orders to move away from the city and to an airbase. They got to a good viewing position and saw the base a long distance away.

"What do you think?" Axel asked the other four.

"We go through there," Roxas said, pointing to a narrow passage, "and we're cornered Dusks."

"Thirty munny says Krell has us lead clones through," Xion whispered to him.

Roxas looked in his pocket and he counted the munny he had in his pocket. 27. He had enough Republic Credits, but not munny

"Don't have that much. So...," his face turned slightly pink with blush, as he whispered back, "if he orders us to take clones through... I'll take you to have some dinner at a restaurant on Coruscant."

Her face turned red from blush, too.

"What are you two whispering about," Axel asked.

"NOTHING!!!" Both said.

"Back to the matter at hand," Riku said, "so we look for another way to the base?"

"Yeah," Terra said, "find a second route, and lead everyone--"

"Lead a battalion through there and get to the base," Krell butted in, "a direct path will be the most advantageous."

I guess it's a date, Roxas and Xion thought.

"General," Axel said, "due respect, but that's a bottleneck position. We go through there, casualties will be--"

"We don't have time to be concerned about these casualties," he interrupt, "every second we wait here, General Kenobi could be at risk of losing the battle for the city! Now take a battalion and go take that base!"

He left the five and they just stood in shock.

"He..." Riku said, "he seriously want us to."

"I know the clones aren't going to be glad about this," Terra said.

They gave the orders to the clones and, as Terra predicted, the clones were mostly displeased.

"I used to think Krell was crazy before," one said, "but now, I'm positive."

"Go through there?" Another asked, "Even with the Gen-- I mean, Commanders, leading us, we're walking straight into what is undoubtedly a trap!"

"General Skywalker has also had some crazy strategies," Rex tried to reason.

"Yeah," Fives said, "but he's always leading the charge. Not bringing up the rear like Krell."

"Listen," Axel said, "I hate this just as much as you guys. But whether we like it or not, orders are orders. Just stick behind us, and we'll try to protect as many of you as possible."

They all slowly began making their way to the airbase. All was quiet for the first several minutes. As soon as they made it to the bottom of the ravine, centipede like tanks burst from the ground. Along their backs and at their heads, blasters began firing on the troops.

"What the heck are these things!?" Axel shouted in surprise.

"Tanks?" Riku asked, casting a thundaga at it, which just rippled off of a shield, "but they're nothing like the Republic's."

Axel formchanged his keyblade into his chakrams and threw them at one of the tanks. They bounced off the shield.

"I think we're gonna need something stronger," he said.
