OMG! o:
I'm so sorry about not updating for so long! I've been so busy that I've barely had the time to complete the chapter. And to add to that, I had writer's block, and so my ideas were running low. But not to worry, I've planned everything all out on paper, so hopefully the next few chapters of this book will be finished by the end of next month or so. After that I've got exams, so after those, I'll be posting book two! Title and other details will be attached to the next chapter!

Happy reading! :)

Chapter 38

Abigail's POV

"So, you're new here right?" I asked the girl, as we took a seat at my favourite spot in the Study Hall. The girl nodded, and dropped her books onto the table.

"Yepp, just moved here about a month ago," she replied, straightening her hair. I nodded, and smiled.

"What's your name?" Jenna asked.

"Emilie," the girl replied. "Emilie Rosewood."

"Nice to meet you Emilie," I said, smiling. Emilie nodded and chuckled.

"Nice to meet you too." She stretched a little, then leaned forward and picked up one of her books.

"Who's that boy you were with?" I frowned.

"Which boy?" Emilie rolled her eyes, and sat back in her seat.

"That one you were next to in the hall; the one with the blonde hair."

"Oh, him," Jenna said, yawning slightly. "That's Tyler. He's my ex." Emilie nodded, and smiled.

"He's cute." I nodded, and chuckled.

"That's what everyone says. Next thing you know, they're calling him sexy." Jenna laughed, causing one of the librarians near by to give us a stern look.

"That's what I thought, and look where it got me," Jenna muttered, still laughing. I nudged her in the ribs, making her squirm.

"He's not that bad. He's changed, and he's not such a jerk anymore." Jenna nodded in agreement.

"That's true," she replied, "I guess all that's been happening has hit him hard." I laughed, and started biting my nails.

"What's been happening?" Emilie questioned, causing us to look up from what we were doing.

"Nothing," I replied, smiling and continued chewing my nail.

"It's kinda personal," Jenna added. Emilie nodded, and flipped a page of her book.

"Must have been.. bad?" Jenna curled her lips, and turned to look at me.

"I guess..?" I said, slightly trailing off. "It was really complicated."

"Yeah, very complicated indeed," someone else said. We all turned around, and I gulped when I saw Yale standing there, leaning against a bookshelf. The expression on his face was distant, yet he seemed to be fully in hearing of our conversation.

"What do you want?" I asked airily, trying my best not to care too much, when in fact, I was worried he might say something.

"Nothing really," he replied slowly, but firmly. "I just want to.. speak to you." I gazed up at him, and immediately shook my head.

"I'm not speaking to you Yale," I said, still shaking my head. "It looked so much like you had something against me, and if that's the case, I'd like you to keep your distance." Yale sighed, and took a couple steps forward.
