Since I've been so excited to write this particular chapter, I suspended writing my other two stories [sorry to those who are reading those; I'll update them tomorrow] to write this. :D

I hope you all like it; I specially dedicate this chapter to one of my biggest fans here; briannanbear88! :)

Oh, and someone messaged me telling I would put a picture of Max on one of the very earlier chapters, but didn't..so there's a picture of him in this one; check the right hand side of the page. :D

And one more thing; there's an external link on the right hand side of this page. It's a POLL for the Sequel of this story! I want to know which of the three boys [Yale, Cody and Max] you'd like to see dating Abby in the next book! I'd love it if you voted; all you have to do is click! :)

Chapter 35

Abigail's POV

Without even a second for me to make a movement, I felt the lips of Max gently press against mine. I didn't think I'd ever have experienced something so perfect in my entire life. I've kissed a couple guys before, but this one beat them all. I quickly dropped my bag to the ground, wrapping my arms around his neck. The feel of his lips on mine made me forget all about my troubles; even the ones that included him.

I could feel Max smiling into the kiss, which only made me smile back. He pulled away, his breathing a little faster than normal. He chuckled and brushed my cheek with his thumb. I couldn't help but smile again.

"Thanks for that," I whispered, my heart racing at top speed. Max laughed, and kissed my nose.

"Don't thank me; I never did anything good to you, did I?" The expression on his face suddenly changed from happy and smiley, to upset and apologetic. I cupped his face with my hands. I knew right then, that what he did was completely wrong, and even though I knew it'd be difficult to immediately forgive him, I had to at least show some sympathy.

"I'm sorry," he whispered, pressing his forehead on mine. I pressed my lips together, trying to hold back a couple tears wanting to fall down my face. "I know what I did to you was horrible; even that day when I forced Yale to say those things to you, I felt like I wanted to stab myself a thousand times. You never deserved any of it. You really didn't. And I'm sorry." I gently brushed away a tear that had finally been able to escape Max's eyes.

"It's okay; don't apologize," I said softly, pulling him into a hug. "I know what you did was horrible, and it really hurt.. but as much as I want to, I-"

Max stopped me by putting his forefinger in front of my lips. I paused, and took a deep breath.

"You don't have to forgive me, Abby," he said, letting his hand drop back to his side. "I know it's going to be hard for you to forgive me, but I just don't want us to be enemies. Is that okay?" I smiled, and nodded.

"It's fine," I answered, looking straight into his eyes. "I know you're way better than what you seem." He chuckled, and hugged me.

"Thanks," he replied. I laughed, and hugged him back.

"Don't worry; you don't have to thank me." Max grinned, and put his arms around my waist again, pulling me close.

"I do have to thank you; I didn't expect you to act so calmy after this." I shrugged and smiled.

"I'm not the kind of person to get mad at someone for long," I replied. Max let out a low chuckle.

"Oh?" He smirked, which made me pout. "Are you sure about that?" I glared at him, and nodded.

"Course I'm sure! Anyway, you're the one who's extremely sneaky.. and evil." I smiled innocently at him, as he looked at me with wide eyes.

"What? It's true!" Max laughed and nodded.

"Yepp, you're right. I'm so-" I pressed my lips against his, giving him a quick kiss.

"I told you," I whispered, "No more apologizing." Max nodded, and smiled.

"Whatever you say." I was about to pull him down for another kiss, when footsteps began approaching us. Max made a quick turn to look, and turned back with a worried look on his face. I frowned, and looked behind him to see Yale and Leesa walking towards us. I turned back to Max, and chuckled.

"Ignore him," I said softly, and he nodded. Yale was now looking at me with a questioning look, and I completely ignored him, not caring that he was getting slightly annoyed. I turned my head to look at him, and smirked.

"What?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. "Can't you see I'm busy?" Yale froze on the spot, not know what to say. I smiled with satisfaction, before turning back to Max, and pressing my lips against his. Max smiled into the kiss, taking his time to deepen it. I suddenly felt on top of the world, not caring what anyone else thought. I suddenly heard someone 'cough', and decided to ignore it, knowing it was probably Leesa.

Not being able to stand the site of me and Max, Yale quickly walked away, with Leesa following him with her heels clicking loudly on the concrete pavement. Max slowly pulled away, and raised one of his eyebrows.

"You're pretty badass, aren't you?" he said, chuckling. I shrugged, and grinned.

"Look who's talking," I responded, laughing. Max smiled, and picked up my bag.

"I'll walk you back to your place," he said, taking hold of my hand. I smiled and looked up at him.

"Don't you have a car?" I asked. He nodded, and ruffled his hair with his other hand.

"I do," he replied, "But right now it's at the car park at my apartment. I didn't feel like using it." I frowned, which only made him laugh.

"You do remember I'm in college? I started a year ago." I nodded, mentally slapping myself.

"I remember, I guess I just forgot. You don't seem like a college student..more of a senior in highschool." I grinned, as he poked me in the sides.

"Not funny," he said, and put his arm around my shoulder.

~*~

Minutes later we were at my house. My mum and George were away on a business trip, as mum had put it on a note on the fridge, and Tyler was visiting his biological mother. Sometimes I stopped to wonder what she looked like.

For the rest of the afternoon, we stayed in my room, playing computer games, and talking. I found out a lot out Max that I never knew before, and immediately the bad image I had of him escaped from my mind. He changed, into someone better than he was before.

"I've got to go," he whispered, as he carried my down the stairs, He put me down, and put his jacket on before walking towards the door. "I don't know if we'll be able to meet up the rest of the week, considering I've got a couple of entrance exams for three of my major subjects, and I need a lot of time to study and all." He bent down and kissed me, before opening the door and stepping out.

He started making his way down the path, but stopped when he realised I was still there. As soon as he saw my face, he raced back up to the door, and put his arms around me.

"Don't worry," he said softly. "I'll call you from time to time." I nodded, and hugged him.

"You better," I replied. Max chuckled.

"I will. And anyway-" He pressed his forehead against mine, making our noses touch. "We'll be together all week next week, so there's no need to worry." I frowned and looked questioningly at him.

"What do yo mean?" I asked, full of confusion. "Our class is away on a historical trip next week." Max smiled, and nodded his head.

"Exactly," he whispered, and kissed me goodnight before walking down the path, onto the pavement, and out of sight.
