Chapter 6

"What happened to you?" I asked, my voice filled with concern. He shook his head, refusing to answer me.

"It .. it's nothing," he replied, almost in a whisper. I sighed.

"Is it that secret that I can't know?" He shrugged.

"Maybe it's better if I don't tell you," he replied. I nodded, even though what I saw really bothered me.

"You hungry?" I asked, randomly. Yale nodded furiously, causing me to laugh.

"Same here, but I'm not sure how I'll-" Yale cut me off as he removed the covers that were on me, and lifted me up, bridal-style. I couldn't help but laugh.

"You didn't have to!" I said, holding onto him. He chuckled.

"It's okay! I've kinda always wanted to try it." I smiled and held onto him tightly, my head buried between his neck and shoulder. I loved how he smelled of .. everything nice. I mentally slapped myself, and pushed my random thoughts away, closing my eyes.

"Um, thanks," I whispered, once we got to my living room. Yale smiled, and put me down on the sofa. When he left for the kitchen to find some food, I suddenly realized that I was still in my PJs. Fabulous.

*

About half an hour later, I started wondering where Yale had gone to. It had become very quiet, and I couldn't hear a thing.

"Yale! Where are you?" I heard shuffling, and then he appeared in the doorway with two plates of lunch .. a very appetizing lunch.

"Here!" he replied, a big smile on his face. I laughed.

"You made this all for me?" I asked, shock covering my face.

"Yeah, but just one plate!" he replied, chuckling. For the next few seconds, we just sat there staring at eachother. Nothing special, but those few seconds seemed like the most magical seconds I've ever experienced.

I decided to break the silence and staring, by giving Yale a peck on the cheek.

"Thanks .. for being so nice to me," I whispered, taking a bite out of the sandwich. He smiled, and shrugged.

"No problem," he replied and took a bit out his sandwich.

*

"Thanks for stopping by," I said, a smile on my face. I lead Yale to the front door, and he put his jacket on.

"Ahh, it's okay," he said back, taking hold of my hands. I looked up at him, his bright blue eyes staring back at me. I laughed lightly.

Yale suddenly started leaning forward, inching closer and closer to me. I didn't move, as I had no means of doing so. It was like I was stuck in place. Our lips were just millimeters away, when we heard someone clear his throat behind us. Yale sighed, and quickly kissed me on the nose.

"Am I .. interupting something?" I heard Tyler's voice say. I cursed under my breath. Why does he always have to appear at the wrong moments?

"Um, no, not really," I said quickly. Yale took steps away from me, and then began leaving altogether. He mouthed a "call me later" and then left. I smiled before turning back to Tyler.

"I thought you were coming back at eight?" I asked, as I started back into the house. Tyler stopped me by grabbing my arm.

"I was, but then I decided to come back .. because I had a feeling that Yale dude was gonna come." I frowned.

"Yale's nice!" I said, defending him. And I was right. Yale was nice. The sweetest guy I've ever met. He's just a little difficult to understand, that's all.

"Ha, right!" Tyler snorted, as I struggled to get out of his grip. "He's an ass, you know! Make sure you never go near him again!" I frowned. Wait, what? Did he just say not to go near him? I mean, doesn't Tyler not know him well?

"You don't even know him!" I yelled, and ran into the house, running up the stairs. I heard Tyler shut the door and chase after me. He stopped up at the top of the stairs, and pushed me against the wall.

"I know that," he said, sighing. "But I don't want you to get hurt!"

"Me? Get hurt? What the hell!" I yelled, pushing him from me.

"First you say that you don't even know him and that you guys were never friends, and now your telling me not to go near him? What has he done that makes you say that?!"

Tyler sighed once more, before moving closer to me.

"I don't know if you'll believe what I'm about to tell you," he whispered, his minty breath caressing my cheek. "But Yale .. apparently .. hurts himself."

My eyes widened with shock. But then something else hit me. Those horrible scratches on his back and chest .. could this be true?

"W-where did you hear that from?" I whispered, gazing up at him. He shrugged.

"Some guy told me," he answered. Then he paused. "Apparently, he also does drugs and alcohol and shit. He's a fucking ass, so you might as well stay away from him. He's just trying to get into your pants because you're easy."

I struggled to keep the tears back. Was this really true? Was he only getting close to me to get in my pants? Was he really doing drugs? I didn't feel like believing it, but the way Tyler looked at me made me want to believe it. I glared at him, and pushed him away.

"What the fuck is wrong with you," I hissed, my breathing rate increasing. He looked at me, a bewildered expression on his face.

"Just doing what brothers do," he replied quietly. I raised my eyebrow.

"Doing what brothers do?" I repeated, glaring harder at him. "You really think I'm going to believe all that bullshit. That Yale does drugs? Please, I bet you're just jealous." Then suddenly I clapped my hand over my mouth, my eyes widening. Could Tyler really be jealous of my relationship with Yale? Did he like me. I sighed, and walked into my room, slamming the door behind me.

Later that evening, as I was getting into bed, my phone started ringing. I picked it up, and checked the caller ID. Yale. I smiled, and picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey Abby. Just wanted to call to see if you were okay." My smile broadened.

"I'm alright, just really tired I guess."

"Is .. Tyler bothering you?" I could feel him slightly stuttering.

"Uh, I guess you could say that. He .. he .." I paused, not wanting to say anymore. How could I tell him what Tyler had told him? I really didn't want Yale to walk away again, as I knew he would if he knew Tyler was putting ideas into my head.

"Abby, what is it?" I sighed.

"I really need to speak to you .. I can't say this over the phone." I heard Yale scowl.

"Alright, I'll see you at school tomorrow. Sleep well."

"You too," I replied, and pressed the end call button. I tossed my phone onto my desk, and got under the covers. I had no idea how I was going to explain everything to Yale, without giving him the impression that I was on Tyler's side.

So, chapter six already :D

I hope you liked it, and I'm currently doing the next couple of chapters, so that I can just post them up in one go. The next one has a small portion of .. sex in it. It's a dream that Abigail has which will be explained later in the story. This part will be in Italic writing, so if you wanna skip it, that's fine. But then you won't understand the chapters after that .. xD
