- Chapter 17 -

Third Person's POV

Abigail sat at her bed with her laptop opened on a word document. She didn't exactly know what she was doing, but for now she wanted to make a complete list of things that confused her, and what she had found out about this whole rape scandal. She couldn't really figure out how she'd even got into this mess!

She quickly typed up a title, and getting out her old note book with the information she wrote previously, wrote up the following notes:

The Rape Scandal

- Yale and Blaine are the same person

- Tyler's ex girlfriend was supposedly raped by Blaine, but was in fact raped by Max

- Max happens to be the nephew of Yale's foster dad

- 'Blaine' is Yale's real name, but uses his middle name as his first name

- Max and Yale's foster dad started the entire scandal

Even after writing those few notes, it still made Abigail even more confused than how she was before. Nothing seemed to make sense, even the fact that Yale and Blaine was the same person! She sighed, and leant her head on the keyboard of her laptop.

All this was doing her head in, yet she still wanted to find out why this was happening. She didn't get what Max really wanted and why he was doing this, but all she knew was that she had to put a stop to it. She knew that Max was aiming for Yale because of his uncle. And speaking of uncle, she still wondered where her step dad had gone to.

She got off her seat, and walked out of her room, and into her mum's, where she was on the computer doing some research.

"Mum? Can I speak to you?" she asked, walking towards her and sitting on the seat next to hers. She smiled and looked up at her daughter. Then she frowned when she saw the scratches on her jaw.

"What happened to you?" she asked, taking her forefinger and slowly going over the bruises that lined the side of Abigail's mouth. Abigail shrugged and turned to look away.

"Long story," she replied, and pulled her mum's hand away. Her mum sighed.

"What's it that you wanted to ask?" she said, as she continued to type on her keyboard. Abigail rubbed her temples.

"Where's George been for the past couple weeks?" she asked, not looking at her mum. Shirley smiled.

"He's away on business. I think I told you that by now?" Abigail shrugged.

"I guess you did, but .. it's kinda funny him not being here. I mean, I haven't known him long enough but I .. miss him." Her mum looked at her and laughed.

"We all do, even Tyler." The sound of her step-brother's name made her tense up slightly. She still couldn't believe what he had tried to do to her. And why did he try? She shrugged off the thought and turned to her mum.

"Does he miss us? George I mean," she asked. Shirley shrugged, and smiled.

"I think he does."

"Has he called?" Her mum shook her head.

"To be honest, no. I haven't heard from him since he left." Abigail frowned.

"That's kinda weird. I barely got the chance to get to know him, and he suddenly decides to disappear! Did you talk to him much before I met him?" Her mum laughed.

"I know it's a little strange, but he needs to do this to get some income money in. His job requires that he travels a lot. And yes, we did talk a lot." Abigail smiled.
