Despite Hidimba's warnings, the Pandavas still went into the village confidently. Hidimb was extremely happy to see them, as he had promised his subjects to give them human meat for feast.
"All of you can devour these humans but leave the big one for me." Hidimb said to his Rakshasas.
But suddenly Hidimba came between Pandavas and the Rakshasas.
"Hidimb, I beg you not to sacrifice them. Please let them go." She said joining her hands.
"Be quiet Hidimba." Hidimb said
"Not today Hidimb, I beg you to let them go." Hidimba said.
"Looks like you have fallen in love with this giant inferior human. You have forgotten than you're a Rakshashi and these are humans ! Our sworn enemies !" Hidimb said.
Bheem looked at Hidimba and raised his eyebrows wondering whether she did fall for him or is Hidimb making assumptions.
"Get aside Hidimba !" Hidimb pushed her aside.
"Hidimb ! Is the way to treat one's sister !?" Bheem asked.
"Looks like the human has also fallen in love." Hidimb laughed.
"Stop blabbering Hidimb ! Come and fight with me ! I challenge you for a duel !" Bheem said.
"Then I accept it !" Hidimb said.
He summoned his mace and Bheem also got ready to fight. Both of them lunged at each other and a deadly duel took place.
The Pandavas looked at them with worry as Hidimb was getting upper hand. Bheem was struggling to defeat the strong and mighty rakshas.
But suddenly he felt like he was getting stronger, he felt more energy surging inside him. He kicked Hidimb away and that's when he saw Hidimba using her powers to help him by making him stronger.
He looked at her confused as to why she is helping him while she gave him a nod of assurance. By then Hidimb got up and again lunged at Bheem who again started fighting him.
This time Bheem got the upper hand as Hidimba used her powers to help him. Soon the battle ended with Bheem tearing and crushing Hidimb into two pieces.
The Rakshasas looked at Bheem shocked as to how he defeated Hidimb. They quickly came and fell on his feet.
"MAHARAJ VRIKODER KI JAI !" They hailed and cheered.
The Pandavas and Kunti looked at them confused as Hidimba came to them with a smile.
"The one who defeats the Rakshas-raj becomes the new King of Rakshasas." Hidimba said.
Bheem looked at her with a smile and thanked her for helping him today. The Rakshasas came to them offerings and food.
The Pandavas sat down to eat while Hidimba went to her room happily.
"Bhrata Bheem is now the King of Rakshasas, does that mean he would also marry a Rakshashi ?" Arjun asked mischievously.
"Indeed Bhrata Arjun ! Sehdev, do you have any premonition ?" Nakul asked.
"I see auspicious signs and hear jubilations." Sehdev joked.
"Shut up !" Bheem said.
"Forgive us Raja Vrikoder." Arjun joked.
Suddenly two Rakshasas came and bowed in front of Bheem.
"Maharaj Vrikoder, the gods of our clan have ordered that you must be married to princess Hidimba, at sunrise." They informed.
