It's been a few months since Nakul was back after helping Krishna and Balram to defeat Chedi Kingdom. There he was married to Karenumati, the daughter of Shishupal.
All was going great in the Kingdom of Indraprasth, righteousness and joy pervaded everywhere.
The joy of Pandavas kept increasing as Devika gave birth to a son named Yaudheya and the due date of Subhadra was also nearing.
Their happiness was increased when Vijaya and Karenumati also became pregnant. Everything and everyone was at peace in Aryavart besides Duryodhan.
He was burning to get revenge from the Pandavas. Their laughs of the Mahasabha were the cause of his sleepless nights.
To help Duryodhan, Shakuni had conspired a perfect plan, a deadly conspiracy. The King of Gandhar had vowed to turn Supreme emperor Yudhishthir into a pauper.
With his illusory words he made Dhritrashtra send Vidur to Indraprasth, inviting Pandavas and the Trigun sisters to Hastinapur in order to honour them.
Yudhishthir was called specifically to play a game of dice. This was a game of doom, a plan to snatch everything from the emperor.
Vidur had advised him that nothing is more destructive than gambling, a ge of dice can even separate brothers. But Yudhishthir reminded him that as a warrior he has no choice but to go and play.
This was a cause of worry of everyone. They knew Yudhishthir was not a good player of dice while his opponents are experts.
The fear was not whether Yudhishthir would lose, the fear was how much will he lose ? Even if he wins then also at what stake ?
But Yudhishthir assured them that game was going to be a friendly one. Only some money will be staked, and oh how he was going to be proved wrong.
The Pandav brothers followed their Jyesht and the Trigun sisters followed their husbands, and all reached Hastinapur.
Duryodhan, Dushashan and Shakuni watched as their plan started to succeed. The Pandavas and Trigun sisters didn't realize that they got caught in most terrible conspiracy of mankind.
At first they were venerated with highest honours. They didn't suspect that behind the mirage honours there lied a serpent of dishonour, waiting patiently to gulp them down.
"Soon all their luxuries will be yours, my dear nephew." Shakuni said.
"I won't suffice with their luxuries, Mamashree. That day in Indraprasth the Trigun-putra were laughing at me, today in Hastinapur I will laugh at their mothers." Duryodhan said.
