Everyone was sitting at the pavilion, looking at the 6 archers in front of them. Biraj was against Dhrishtadyumn, Nabhraj was against Vrishasen and Abhimanyu was against Ashwathama.
Various targets were in front of them, with increasing level of difficulty. The rules were simple. The one who hits the most number of target wins, the one who misses loses.
The competition began the arrows were kept being shot at the targets. The sons of Arjun were indeed showing the skills they had inherited from their father.
Soon Dhrishtadyumn lost to Biraj, but was thoroughly impressed by his skills.
"Young man, I have never seen someone so profound in archery since years." Dhrishtadyumn praised.
"Thank you." Biraj smiled.
"I feel honoured to have shot arrows standing beside you. It would an even bigger honour if someday I get to fight beside you. Thus I, Panchal-kumar, Dhrishtadyumn promise you that whenever you face a war, our army shall fight besides you." Dhrishtadyumn said.
"I am honoured." Biraj said.
"Keep it up, young man." Dhrishtadyumn smiled patting his back and left.
Biraj was also about to leave when he looked at Aryamani who was smiling at him. 'Amazing display.' She gestured. Biraj bowed his head in a 'thank you' gesture.
Next Ashwathama lost to Abhimanyu, he too was incredibly impressed and pleased at the skills of his.
"Son, you have indeed inherited your father's skills and valor. I am very impressed." Ashwathama said.
"Thank you." Abhimanyu smiled.
"May you inherit his glory and fame as well." Ashwathama patted his back and left.
Abhimanyu too walked out and now only Nabhraj and Vrishasen were left shooting arrows at the targets.
"You will lose." Vrishasen said.
"Focus on target not me." Nabhraj said.
Now only one target was left, Vrishasen quickly shot it and it hit the exact centre. He looked at Nabhraj and smirked as now no space was left.
The people of the pavillion were on the edge of their seats, as Nabhraj was undefeated in archery and now the chances of his winning seemed to have diminished.
"I won." Vrishasen said.
"You speak too soon." Nabhraj said looking at him.
Vrishasen frowned as Nabhraj smirked at him, he summoned an arrow and without even looking at the shot the target.
The audience gasped as the arrow of Nabhraj pierced right through Vrishasen's arrow and hit the target as the other arrow fell down into two pieces.
Vrishasen looked at the target with wide eyes and then at Nabhraj who was still smirking at him. The son of Karn couldn't decipher how can someone shoot an arrow like this, piercing the other arrow and all without even looking at the target.
"H-how is this possible ?" Vrishasen muttered.
"I could've won in the very first round only Vrishasen, I was just playing for your sake." Nabhraj said and left.
The entire pavillion cheered for him and his amazing display of archery as the son of undefeated Arjun also remains undefeated.
