It was night time and the entire palace was sleeping. But Nabhraj was wide awake standing on the balcony.
He was remembering the day of Spring festival when he had asked Vasundhara to pretend to be his beloved. And right now he felt that he was actually in love with her.
Only Vasundhara's face was in front of him right now and Shalin's words ringed in his ears.
"Who knows when your pretence will turn into actual love ?"
'Am I in love ?' Nabhraj thought.
He looked up at the night sky not at the moon but at the dark part of the sky.
"Mother, what is this feeling that pervades in my heart ? If this is love then please give me a sign." Nabhraj whispered joining his hands.
Suddenly a he saw a shooting star, taking that as a sign he chuckled in bliss as he bowed his head.
"Thank you mother !" He said.
"Bhrata Nabhraj ? Why are you awake ?" Biraj asked rubbing his eyes.
"N-nothing go back to sleep." Nabhraj said.
"Why are you at the balcony ?" Biraj asked groggily.
"I was enjoying fresh air brother." Nabhraj said sprinting towards his bed.
He was not the only one wide awake at this time of night Aryamani too was unable to sleep as she was completely lost in the thoughts of Biraj.
She remembered the first time they met and flowers were showered on them, she then remembered the day of wrestling match and archery when he showed unparalleled valor.
She remembered the day when he plucked roses for her with his own hands that got bruised and pierced by the thorns yet he adorned her hair.
"Oh my god ! What happened to your hands ?" She asked.
"I was plucking the thorns off of the roses so they don't hurt you. Don't worry it's nothing." He said.
He had gone through the pain, his hands were pierced and bruised just because he didn't want the thorns to harm her.
The only thing in her mind was his mesmerizing eyes. Those orbs were so deep, looking at which anyone will get captivated.
She remembered how they danced today, so close they were. He was so gentle and respectful to her, she knew that today she was not in her sense when she was dancing. If he wanted he could have taken advantage of her but he didn't.
A smile appeared on Aryamani's face as she thought about Biraj, who was such a brave and valorous prince, and yet was so humble and sweet man.
'Am I in love ?' Aryamani wondered.
She looked at Vasundhara sleeping peacefully with a smile plastered on her face, after today's dance. Aryamani nudged her to wake.
"What ?" Vasundhara asked groggily.
"What does love feel like jiji ?" Aryamani asked.
"My god Aryamani. It's past midnight." Vasundhara said frowning.
"Please tell me what does love feel like ? How does one know if they are in love ?" Aryamani asked.
Vasundhara got up and wondered how to answer her question, suddenly a smile appeared on her face as Nabhraj crossed her mind.
"If you have found a smile that is the sweetest one you've known, if you have heard, within a voice, the echoes of your own, if you have felt a touch that stirs the longings of your heart, and still can feel that closeness in the moments you're apart, if you believe some things in life are simply meant to be, then you have found your soul mate, your heart's own destiny." Vasundhara said.
'I have.' Aryamani thought with a smile.

A/NLove is objective but yet is subjective.
