PLAN OF DIGVIJAY

Assured by the words of Rajeshwari and Tamasvini, Yudhishthir called all his brothers to discuss the Digvijay Yatra with them.

"A Digvijay yatra is necessary for establishing our sovereignty over the entire world. Then we can establish a Dharm-rajya." Yudhishthir said.

"I agree Jyesht. What is your plan ?" Sehdev asked.

"I shall stay at Indraprasth and look after our Kingdom. While you 4 shall go to all 4 directions and conquer all the kingdoms and annex them under Indraprasth. Then we will do a Rajsui Yagya and establish our sovereignty." Yudhishthir said.

"When do we start our conquests ?" Nakul asked.

"In two days." Yudhishthir said.

"What ?!" Arjun and Bheem frowned.

"Jyesht our wives are pregnant, they need us at this time." Bheem said.

"I agree with Bhrata Bheem. We must stay with our wives for now." Arjun said.

"I too had the same doubts in my mind. But Rajeshwari and Tamasvini themselves have said that you both should go for Digvijay yatra." Yudhishthir said.

"But Digvijay yatra to conquer the entire earth can take months, if not years to complete, we cannot see the faces of our children." Arjun said.

"I did express this concern to your wives. They said that your duties towards Indraprasth is more important." Yudhishthir said.

'How can Rajeshwari do this to me ?' Bheem thought.

'Tamasvini understands my duties.' Arjun thought.

"Arjun-Bheem, I understand your concerns and desires. Both of you go and talk to your wives regarding this. Then whatever decision you both take either to go or not, would be accepted by me." Yudhishthir said and smiled.

"We'll take your leave." Both said and left.

When Bheem reached the room of Rajeshwari he found her at the dressing table removing her heavy jewelleries.

"Rajeshwari, how could you do this to me ?" Bheem asked walking towards her.

"What Arya ?" Rajeshwari frowned.

"You are willing to send me to Digvijay yatra ?" Bheem complained.

"Are you a child ? That I will send you anywhere ? I just told Jyesht not to worry about me and Tamasvini, we can manage ourselves. Decision to go or not is still yours." Rajeshwari said.

"Well then I am not going !" Bheem said folding his hands and sitting on the bed.

Rajeshwari chuckled as she went towards Bheem and sat beside him. She looked at his angry pouting face.

"Oh such fury, just imagine if this falls on the enemies in Digvijay yatra." Rajeshwari said.

"Too bad its not going to fall." Bheem said.

"Yeah, don't make it fall. But can you answer my one question ?" Rajeshwari asked.

"What ?" Bheem frowned.

"Imagine all your brothers will go on Digvijay yatra, and you will be here with me. What stories will I tell my child about his father ? What will I say to him when our child will ask 'Mother tell me stories of my father's valor' ? What will I tell him ?" Rajeshwari asked.

Bheem looked at her and then lowered his gaze, Rajeshwari smiled sadly at him.

"The Digvijay yatra will give you eternal glory Arya. Don't leave this opportunity." Rajeshwari said.

"I don't want fame ! I want to be with you, what if you need me ?" Bheem asked.

"I can manage myself very well Arya. Don't forget I am embodiment of Rajas, the Guna of creation. And even if I need help, Hidimba is there." Rajeshwari said.

"But I will miss my child's birth." Bheem said.

"Our child will be happy when he comes to know that his father always kept his duties over desires. He too will learn the same." Rajeshwari said.

"Fine then. I will go to Digvijay yatra and return soon." Bheem said kissing Rajeshwari's forehead.

On the other side Arjun was not upset because Tamasvini was letting him go to Digvijay yatra, he was proud that she was willing to make this sacrifice, ready to let him go when she needs him the most for Indraprasth.

"I cannot express how eternally grateful I am to have a wife like you. You are brave Tamasvini, very brave. I am sure you can and will manage everything alone, I am sure our children will be the heir to my valor and your powers." Arjun said.

"They will." Tamasvini said.

"I will return soon. And when I do, my children will be in front of me." Arjun said smiling.

"By Mata Mahakali's grace they will be." Tamasvini said.
