"Holy-" Nelson panicked, he turned to Amy, "Look for anything that might help."

"Like what?" She squeaked.

He couldn't let his friend bleed out, there had to be something he could do. With closer inspection he could see that the net was holding them down and the shards were pinning them to the wall.

"I need to get that net off, something to cut it off? Like tweezers but the big ones. Um, pliers?"

"You're dead! Do you hear me? Dead!" Morgan heaved.

Nelson shook his head, "If you don't knock it off, you're gonna be the one whose-"

He stopped and returned to the trap, trying to tug at the net but proving to lead nowhere. Instead he looked at the shards, most weren't too deep, he thought it might be easiest to take those out first. Without consulting Morgan, Nelson reached towards their shoulder. With one swift movement the shard came loose. Spurts of blood shot out.

"Moron! Why did you do that? You never take out something that deep!"

Hurt by their words, he stumbled back, dropping the shard.

Amy came back to his side, making sure not to look at Morgan, "Will these help?"

Outstretching her hands, were a pair of garden shears.

By the time Morgan was freed from the wall however, it wasn't enough. The shards had been pushed in further and they were losing too much blood to stand, when the netting was removed, Morgan lost their footing and slumped to the ground. deeper in went the shards.

"Are they-"

"Yes," he sighed, "I think they're gone."

Instead of going back into the rest of the house, the two felt it was safer to get out.

The window was stiff but it did open.

It was a tight fit but wide enough for Nelson to fit through, the two siblings made their way out onto the roof, from there they were able to climb down and escape.
