I went to the potty and when I came back I heard Ms. Ariana and Luke talking about adopting me. I may be 4 but I know what adoption is. I watched them walk over to me. "Hi Lexi." Ms. Ariana said carefully. " Hwi." I replied in my soft four year old voice. "So, how would you feel about me being your new mommy?" She slowly asked. I thought for a minute and than nodded my head yes. "Yes pwease. Wou are an amazing wady and I would wove fwor wou to be my new mommy." I saw her eyes tear up. "What's wong?" I asked concerned. She shook her head and just hugged me. "I love you Lex" She whispered. " I wove wou two mws. Awiana I wove wou two" I whispered back.
Ariana's P.O.V
So, Lexi agreed to letting me adopt her. So we both got a bath and got dressed. Luke decided afterwards to celebrate he wanted to take us shopping and for ice cream. So we went to the adoption center. I signed the papers but they said Lexi wasn't legally mine, that she would need a father in order for me to be able to adopt her. I looked down. I started sobbing quietly to myself in my lap. My makeup started running and my hair flew into my face. Luke soothed me and asked me for a pen. Confused, I gave him one. What I didn't know though was that he was signing the papers. When he was done the lady said that she was ours. "Hey lex. I got one question do you want to change your name to be like my name or do you wanna keep your name?" I asked holding her, and looking down at her. I balanced her on my waist while in her little cute four year old voice. "Can we pwease change it to wour name? I wanna be wike wou. I want my name to be..."
