Chapter 4

I wake up to my phone ringing,I groan. Why the hell would someone be calling at four in the morning!? I pick it up to see it's mum.

"Hi mum."
"Hey! We've just arrived."
"That's great!"
"We've left you money and stocked the cupboards. Take care of your sister okay?"
"Of course."
"Good,well I have to dash,see you soon!"
"Yeah bye."

I hang up then throw my phone across the room,I know I won't be able to get back to sleep now so I walk downstairs and turn on the kitchen light to see Tiffany standing there in her pyjamas,fiddling through the money.

"How much is there?" I ask,walking over then quickly counting out "$3,000. Well,we'll have to go on a shop and I'll keep charge of the money. I know you,you'll spend it on clothes." I swipe up the money and curl it up into my hands "What are you doing up?"

She just looks down at the kitchen island,where the money was before I took it off her.

"Mum called me,I promised her I would look after you so no funny business,I'm picking and walking with you to and from school,then we'll get home and you'll be next to me when I revise. Nothing else. I'm going to bed. Night."

I walk back up stairs,shut my door and crawl under the sheets,just lying there in the darkness. Stressing and worrying about looking after Tiffany,it won't budge out of my mind. I've been focussing on it for two hours now so I decide just to get dressed,I find my green converse,blue jeans,grey sports shirt and hoodie. I check my school bag then put about $100 in my wallet which I put in the secret pocket of my backpack then walk downstairs. Tiffany isn't there yet,I just figure she's either getting ready or still asleep. I get some cereal then eat it whist watching Youtube videos. Then I see I have twenty minutes until school,Tiffany should be down by now.

"Tiffany!" I call "Tiffany!"

I run up stairs then open her door. All I see is furniture,and then realise that she's gone.
