Chapter 14

Once she's gone Tiffany comes back home a few minutes later.

"How was it then?" I ask.
"Good."
"I just saw Olivia."
"Good. There's a postcard you know,from mum and dad."
"What! Where?"
"I've got it."
"What does it say?"
"Just about how much fun they're having."

It's pitch black outside but she walks into the garden and pulls out something from her pocket then wanders into a garage,producing a box then pouring the con-tense out onto the ground as she sets it on fire. Thick flames curling in the air.

"What the fuck is all this stuff?" I ask.
"Mum and dad's." She answers "Photos,letters,clothes,jewellery."
"ARE YOU INSANE!"
"No. I'm human."

I dash and grab the house,soaking it until the fire dies down then scampering through everything but it's all ruined.

"YOU SELFISH BITCH!" I yell "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?"
"Nothing."
"All this you've ruined... I don't even want to look at you right now."
"Just because I have the guts."
"You don't have a heart.."
"They don't. Tom face it,they don't care."
"Yes they do."
"Fine. Name one thing they've done for you."
"Gave me a home."
"No that,something else. They don't care."
"Because you're so much better."
"Yes I am."
"I think you'll always be here to be screaming on the inside Tiffany."
"Okay then."
"You coming inside?"
"Once all this stuff is gone for good."
"You're screwed when they get back."
"I'll run away."
"With who?"
"Jacob."
"You seriously like him?"
"Yes."
"Like love him?"
"Yes.. Maybe."
"You have no clue do you?"
"Course not. I always figured I'd find myself,maybe not now."
"And you think breaking the rules will help you?"
"It's a distraction."
"No it's not."
"Who are you to act like you fucking know me?"
"I'm your brother."
"That's just a title,doesn't mean I have to love you."
"Well if love that Jacob the bar isn't exactly set high."
"Shut up."
"He'll just let you down."

"Why should I?"
"Fine.."

She storms inside,I follow her as she grabs my textbooks and starts ripping them up.

"YOUV'E RUINED EVERYTHING!" She screams "JUST THE SIGHT OF YOU MAKES ME SICK. I HATE YOU. I HATE YOU. I HATE YOU!"
"Stop it!" I yell.
"I CAN'T STOP IT,YOU'RE A FAILURE,A LIAR."
"Because you're so perfect?"
"Better than you!" I see a tear fall from her cheek which she quickly wipes away "Stay away from me."

She turns away,leaving me alone..
