Chapter 28

I walk down the steps,hands shaking as I see the letter. My results,I'm about to open it when I hear footsteps behind me. I turn around to see Tiffany standing there,

"Open it." She says,gesturing to it.

I sit down on the stairs,my chest flipping.

"I can't." I say then pass it to her "You do it."
"Fine." She opens it up and I look into the distance "All F."
"What?"
"I'm kidding."
"What did I get then?"
"Read it yourself."
"I can't."
"Stop being such a wimp. All that matters is that you're happy,grades don't."
"Fine."

At first I don't believe it

"Well done." Tiffany says "See,I knew you wouldn't fuck up.. What are you gonna do with yourself now?"
"No idea."
"Come on."
"Where are we going?"
"To celebrate. Get in the car."

"And where is it you want me to drive?" I ask as I start the engine.
"To Ki's,then Olivia's."
"Right."

We pick up then both then drive to a place to Tiffany's instruction then walk down a hill until we come across a beautiful beach,clear sand and rippling sea as the sun shines onto us. Ki and Olivia must've known as they lay out a blanket and a picnic. We sit down as Ki pours out glasses of Coke for everyone.

"To Thomas." Tiffany says raising her glass "One of the best people I've ever met."
"To Thomas!" Everyone says in unison clanking our glasses together.
"So where are you going now?" Olivia asks "Tiff texted me what you got?"
"Probably more studies,then work."
"What about you Ki?" She asks.
"I've still got some exams,they had to reschedule most of them. But I know it's going to be okay. Then we'll see what the future holds."

Tiffany just smiles and leans towards him,kissing him gently. As my hand gently glides out and squeezes onto Olivia's,she just smiles as I kiss her,like the way we did before.

"Since when did this happen?" Tiffany asks.
"Not sure." I answer,as Tiffany lays her head on Ki's lap and his hand goes to softly stroke her hair.
"I'm just going to go on a walk alone,I'll see you later." Tiffany kisses Ki then jogs off.
"Will she be okay?" Olivia asks,I just nod.

We sit and chat for about twenty minutes until I get a bit worried so I walk in the direction I saw her go then come to a peer,I walk down then near the end is a bench. Tiffany just stands on it,spinning around slowly and gently,not noticing me as her arms flow gracefully.

"What are you doing?" I ask her "Is everything okay?"
"Everything's fine."

She walks to the end of the peer and I follow her.

"I think this is happiness."
"Yes."
"You know.. It's exactly how I feel when I'm with you guys,and., I didn't know what to with that feeling."
"Realise that it's a piece of you now."
"Thank you," she pulls me into a hug "For fixing me."
