Chapter 11

We sit watching Divergent,keeping an eye on my sister who sits there reading on the other chair when we hear the phone ringing. Tiffany grabs it then holds it to her ear for a very long time,her eyes drooping as she hangs up and throws it to the side.

"Who was that?" I ask.
"Dad." She answers.
"What did he say?"
"About how he's having a fabulous time and he wishes you best of luck for your exams."
"Sure he did."
"He wouldn't shut up though,it was so annoying."
"You're just jealous Tiff."
"Why would I be jealous?"
"Because there he is,happy whilst you're stuck here."
"That doesn't bother me.. I like people who don't smile."
"Bit harsh."
"Speaking of being cruel how are you and Olivia?"
"Huh?"
"She told me what happened,you're such a dick."
"Shut up."
"It's true."
"Do you think she'll forgive me?"
"Maybe,you hurt her pretty bad,close to breaking her heart."
"You over exaggerating."
"No I'm not."
"I didn't mean to hurt her I was worried,I have too much I was focused in finding you and-"
"Don't make up excuses."
"Come on Ki."

I drag him into the kitchen and grab some beer,drinking he can as quick as I can,squeezing it up then throwing it into the bin..

"Do you think she's right?" I ask.
"Yeah."
"So what do I do?"
"Just relax. Let's just go get some food,this house is fucking empty for food."
"Too stressed."
"Right."

He picks me up and slings me over his shoulders.

"What are you doing?" I demand.
"You need sleep."

He opens the door to my room then puts me on the bed,I just lie there.

"I'll be back in a while,get some sleep okay?"
"Yes I will."

Once he leaves and closes the door behind him I grab my laptop and open my Facebook,just scrolling blankly through my news,not much on there even though there are many,many statues about my party last night. I have about two hundred Alerts. 

That's when the door opens to reveal Tiffany standing there.

"I knew you weren't asleep."
"Well obviously not."
"Close your eyes."
"What?"
"Close them."

I lie down and do as she says.

"See the darkness?"
"Course."
"Soon you'll see light."
"Yes,I've closed my eyes before."
"Just block your head of everything and sleep."
"Tiffany.. Will you speak when mum and dad come back?"
"I don't know."
"Why don't you know?"
"I'm too scared they'll let me down."
"What about me?"
"I know you wouldn't do that. You saved me when I was taken. I don't like you.. But-"
"Do you like anyone?"
"A few."
"What?"
"I love someone Tom."
