Impossible to Love {Ki Hong Lee}

Chapter 6

"Give me all your money." He taunts.
"I've only got $100."
"That'll do."

I hand it to him.

"Now tell me."
"Follow us then."

We walk through a light corridor to see a door.

"She's in there." He tells me.

I don't react just open the door to see her there,drinking a lemonade next to a boy-Pale skin with golden spiky hair,quite bulky.

"You have a guest to see you." He says.

Once she sees me she walks towards me,shoving past me like yesterday and walking out the club.

"Why don't you stay buddy?" The guy who she was sitting with asks.
"No thanks."
"You know you can keep saving her. But you know we can get her back."
"I'll get you arrested."
"Shame... I bet she would rather be locked up in a cell than spend time with you."
"That's not true."
"She hates you."
"She wouldn't say that. She doesn't speak."
"I know she doesn't. You can see it in her eyes. Now screw off."

I catch up with Tiffany who walks out as if nothing has happened. Olivia runs out the car then crashes her into her arms,hugging her tightly. But she just stands there still,not showing any emotion towards her best friend what so ever.

"What was going on out there?" Olivia asks.
"These guys. Who she went with. Tiffany you need to knock some sense into your head."
"Are we going back to school?" Olivia says.
Ki scoffs "You can. We're not. I'm not going into that Maths class,the lessons last ten million years."
"Fine,we'll get a drive through then go home."
"Good."

We get a group set of burgers,fries and drinks at a Drive through,eat in the car park then I drive everyone back home to our house, parking the car correctly then going back into the house. Tiffany goes into the living room and Olivia follows her,I keep a sharp eye but there isn't much to see. She just sits there,clicking one of dad's smoking lighters on and off,on and off,on and off.

"Yeah,I don't think so." I snatch the lighter off her and snatch it in my pocket "Thanks to you I've lost $100. That could've gone to something important but no,I had to spend it on you. Because you've fucked my day up. Thanks a lot."

She looks into my eyes,some kind of darkness being sucked into my soul.

"Let's watch some TV." I sigh,clicking on the remote as a Disney channel show pops up,I scowl and switch the Channel to some random movie
"I've got to go." Olivia says "Bye Tiffany."

I follow her to the door..

"Will she be okay tomorrow?" She asks.
"I don't know,I'll probably keep her away from school for a few days."
"Tell her to text me."
"I will."
"I know what happened..." Olivia sighs "I know why she became like this. But,I know that she'll have to tell you herself. You need to learn from her,nobody else. She does love you,remember that." She kisses my cheek gently then slips out of the door.
