𝓟ulling up outside of the secluded house the cars seemed to be silent. No one dared to speak a word, disbelief filling the vehicles that drove in convoy for hours back towards the house. Had they truly done it? Had they escaped the grasps of Marcel and escaped with their lives. All of them. It wasn't believable, it was unreal. Evelyn sat beside Rebekah, in the back right seat of the car. Freya in the driver's seat and Kol within the passenger. None had spoken, just followed the winding roads far from New Orleans. Her mind was swirling with what had just happened. She'd just lost everything, by now her coven would be well aware of her actions, she'd felt a disconnection ever since she left New Orleans but the further they ventured from New Orleans the mixed feeling of drained energy yet freedom filled her. Soon enough the vehicles pulled to a stop as they arrived back at the house. Evelyn looked towards Rebekah who gave a small smile, seemingly a silent thanks to the Witch who'd lost everything for the family. The blonde got out of the car as the others did. Evelyn waited a moment, taking her phone out of her pocket; unlocking it.

Evelyn didn't give them a second thought, she pressed the button on the side of her phone and held it down. The phone turned off. She didn't have the strength to hear what her people had to say to her. How could something so right feel so wrong? Was it wrong to look at this situation from a subjective stance? By giving Hope back her family she's aided in the return of the most dangerous family in the whole of existence. Was it worth it?

Eventually Evelyn grabbed her bag and made her way out of the car, closing the door and placing her hands into her jacket pocket. Ready to make her way into the house. She walked round the front of the car where Freya and Kol had just finished speaking when she felt a tug on her right arm, stopping her in her tracks.

" Hey, hang on a minute- " The original vampire spoke, causing Evelyn to turn to face him. Confusion on her expression. " -I wanted to apo- " Kol stopped talking, inhaling deeply. " - I'm sorry for doubting you. " He looked at the young witch, seemingly genuine with what he said. Evelyn removed her hands from her jacket, a sort of forced smile forming in the corner of her lip.       " You don't have to apologise Kol, I understand why you'd doubt me. But at least now we're on the same page. " She glanced down for a moment, hoping this was the end of the conversation but the Mikaelson spoke again. " I might not trust you, but I appreciate what you did. " He gave a singular nod, hoping that he'd somewhat made sense with his statement. " I get it, you don't trust me yet. I wouldn't if I was in your shoes. But all I have to gain from helping you is making sure Hope gets the family she needs. Someone had to be that person, someone had to help. I just hope that I can find a path from here. " Evelyn's smile softened, slightly less forced as she slowly turned on her heels to head towards the building. " I'm ready for a bourbon. " Kol spoke, walking beside the witch as they made their way up the steps. " I'm ready to sleep. I've been on the road for days. " She chuckled. The first time she's laughed all day it seems. Kol moved a hand to pat her shoulder. Making his way into the house and leaving Evelyn out on the steps, walking up slowly. She took a moment to catch her breath. This was the first step in her new life it seemed. Running. Running from who she was and maybe finding who she wants to be.

Evelyn sat on one of the seats on the porch, elbows upon the table and listening to the painful silence that fell upon the Mikaelson family. The hired (compelled) help is busy handing out drinks to the family. Evelyn had been absentmindedly looking over her hands upon the table, holding a fork and passing it between her digits; attempting to keep the fork as still as possible and not quivering in her grasp. It seems like the silence was too much for Kol who was standing looking at his siblings, taking a drink from the woman and finally addressing the rest there.
