Alora's mind raced as she struggled to quiet her thoughts, her anxiety keeping her from sleeping. She paced back and forth in her quarters on the Resistance base, attempting to still her racing heart. Despite Chewie's thorough preparations for their mission, Alora felt woefully unprepared for the journey ahead. The prospect of finally reuniting with her father, a moment she had longed for, now filled her with trepidation. The weight of her emotions threatened to overwhelm her, leaving her wondering if she was truly ready to face what lay ahead.

In the other side of the base Poe found himself wide awake as well, only his mind was racing with thoughts of alora that he couldn't shake. She consumed his every waking moment, and he couldn't fathom why. He had encountered countless men and women all throughout the galaxy, yet none had left a mark on him like she had. There was something about her that lingered, perhaps it was the way she navigated the skies with a fearlessness that rivaled his own, or maybe it was the unwavering belief in him that shone in her eyes, as if she saw a potential in him that he hadn't even seen in himself.

Whatever it was Poe couldn't stop thinking about it and how in the morning she'd be gone all over again. He couldn't shake the feeling that he needed to see her one more time. Driven by a sudden impulse, he threw off the covers, slipped into one of his signature leather jackets, and stepped out into the corridor. But as the door swung open, he was taken aback to find Alora standing right outside, her eyes wide with surprise at their unexpected encounter.

"Alora," Poe whispered, his heart racing as he took in the sight of her. Her long, golden hair cascaded down her back, a stark contrast to the braids she typically wore, framing her face with a soft, ethereal glow, her beauty left him breathless.

"Sorry, I know it's late but I just couldn't sleep and I needed a friend"

"No, no, it's fine," Poe assured her, his gaze still captivated by her radiant appearance. "I was actually on my way to find you, to tell you the same thing," he admitted, his voice low and sincere. "Come with me, l've got an idea," Poe said, his eyes sparkling with excitement, ahe snatched up a radio and lantern. "Follow me!" He beckoned, and Alora's heart skipped a beat as she took his hand, feeling a thrill of anticipation. Together, they slipped out of the building and into the darkness of the surrounding woods.

"Poe where are we going?"

"You'll see"

"If your planning on murdering me just know that I can use the force"

"okay whatever space wizard" Poe joked, his eyes twinkling with amusement, as they emerged into a serene clearing on the lake's sandy shore. He set the lantern on a weathered log and settled into the sand, flipping on the radio, which filled the air with soft, melodic notes. Alora sat down beside him, her gaze drifting upward to the star-studded sky, with the gentle music peacefully playing in the background.
