Fred was slouched on a chair next to his twin in the grand dining room of 12 Grimmauld Place, where another Order meeting was being held. At first, he tried to pretend that he was paying attention to everything that was being said by the Order's senior member but that stopped half an hour into the meeting when Beatrice's perfectly carved features flashed through his head.
They hadn't spoken since he left the wand shop after returning from the fiasco that ended being their little getaway.
He knew it was better to let her have her space, but that had been nearly three weeks ago and he was desperate now.
He was desperate to hear her voice and her laugh. To feel her touch and her lips. To get lost inside the deep blue ocean of her eyes.
"The number of murders and disappearances have only gone up Dumbledore, the Ministry must be aware that something is happening under their noses!" said Minerva McGonagall indignantly. "We must do something!"
"It is not wise to act now Minerva," the man sitting at the head of the table said calmly. "We still do not know much about anything, besides that the death eaters are performing such atrocities and Lord Voldemort is behind them."
"We have more information than the Ministry does Professor, can't we warn them about what is really going on?" asked Harry Potter.
"We need more information and more details prior to acting Harry," Dumbledore rubbed his temple with the tip of his wand. "What have you and Mr Weasley gathered regarding the Nott sisters anyway?"
"I spent three days with Amelia and couldn't get anything out of her," Harry sighed. "It was almost as if her mind was made out of stone or something."
At Harry's words, Fred couldn't help but let out a snort, not even minding that all eyes were on him now as he continued to laugh by himself.
"What about you Fred?" his mother asked with a quizzical look on her face. "Did you manage to get anything about Beatrice?"
"I only have one thing to say," Fred chuckled dryly. "You really never should have underestimated the Notts."
"Meaning?" George snickered, already knowing what his twin was talking about since he was the only person in the room who knew.
"That if she wanted, my girlfriend could destroy all of us in a heartbeat without even thinking twice," Fred smirked. "Next time, try finding someone else to get information because I don't give a flying shit about the oath that I took when it comes to her. She'll always come first."
Fred meant what he said and that's what scared Order members the most.
It wasn't a secret that the older twin had an iron will and to him, Beatrice would always come first.

Beatrice Nott despised her birthday like no other day in the year.
Valentine's day was second on her list in all fairness.
She loathed everything that had to do with her own birthday and everyone around her knew. Hence why, Fred received odd looks from Bea's own friends at his request for help to throw them a surprise party.
"I really can't wait for this to blow up in your face," Cecillia Zabini sniggered after agreeing to help the older twin with his antics.
"You see it won't," Fred beamed brightly as he was to leave her flat two days before Bea's birthday. "She's going to love it."
