Juliet had been spending more and more time with Beatrice as the days progressed.
She loved it.
Beatrice did too.
Her heart, mind and soul felt at ease when Juliet was with her.
Fred had started giving the two of them some space, letting Juliet stay with her mum during the day while he worked and did Order related things.
And as much as he loved seeing the two of them together, either curled up in bed or sitting on the floor playing whatever Juliet had made up, Fred didn't go as far as letting the two year old spend the night if he wasn't as well.
It took a couple of says for Beatrice to get over the initial frustration of him refusing to let their daughter spend the night with her, but after much talking to him she surrendered.
Having her during the day was better than not having her at all.
Another thing that Juliet's mind couldn't comprehend, was the fact that Beatrice wasn't allowed to leave the confinement of her small bedroom in the basement.
She was always the one who had to be dropped off at the small room, and when she left her mum couldn't. There was always like an invisible barrier keeping Beatrice in place, stopping her if she tried moving past the doorframe.
Juliet wanted Beatrice to go to her and Fred's room. She wanted to show her mum all her toys and drawings, but she couldn't leave.
Fred felt like an enormous weight had been lifted from his shoulders. It gave him some peace of mind that Beatrice was starting to remember more and more things when Juliet spent time with her, but so far, there was nothing that came back that involved their relationship.
Nothing at all.
He still refused to use legillimency on her despite Poppy saying that he could start implementing smaller sessions throughout the day. The thought of causing another seizure and potentially being the cause of more brain damage to her, killed him.
And regardless of the small yet vital detail that Beatrice still didn't remember it all, he could sense the change from miles away.
Her eyes no longer held an irrational and senseless hatred towards him like they had done for the first two months since she was in a way, "captured" by the Order.
Her eyes held the sparkle he had missed dearly. Being around Juliet on a daily basis, was the source of her newly found happiness.
A fond smile was always grazing her features when he came into her room in afternoon to spend time with her and Juliet.
The two of them would talk and laugh as they watched Juliet play with her kitten, that was way bigger now yet still just as playful.
Beatrice now sought Fred for comfort. She relished in his touch.
They were always having some sort of physical touch when they were side by side every afternoon watching their daughter play.
Either his hand placed on her thigh or knee, rubbing small circles with the pad of his thumb on her skin. Or his arm draped around her shoulders, pulling her close to him. Or her back resting against his chest as she lied in between his parted legs, his arms tightly wrapped around her waist and chin resting on her shoulder.

FanfictionEveryone knew the cliché. It wasn't a secret. Cold hearted Slytherin falls for a warm and overly loud Gryffindor. That wasn't Beatrice's case. She was the cold hearted Slytherin, but the simple concept of love bored her to death. She had known love...
