Liam Hunt's POV
Without thinking last night, I stood in front of Mia to protect her from being killed by the bullet that her uncle was shooting. Everything was a blur at that moment until I know that I was in front of her, protecting her as the bullet just hit me in the stomach.
After the incident, Mia and Marco brought me to the hospital ER room. The doctor did a diagnosis on me and told me that I was lucky the bullet did not graze any important organs.
"Thank god," Mia said as she was relieved to know that I was okay. I was hospitalized last night and Mia had been kind enough to wait for me to get discharged.
"Make sure that he will not be working out or doing anything extreme," the doctor said in Spanish as we were still in Dubrovnik.
"Got it, I will make sure that my husband will not do anything stupid, doctor," Mia said as she was looking at me. I was speechless for a moment when she used the H-word. She looked at me as if she was amused by my expression.
"Yes, of course, doc. I will not be doing anything except for one thing," I said as I looked at the young doctor.
"Can we still have sex and it would not affect my wounds?" I asked him as Mia was blushing red and coughed. The doctor chuckled at my question before adjusting the spectacles on his nose bridge.
"Of that act, I can assure you that you will be just fine. Just don't overdo it, okay?" He said as he went out of the room to give Mia and me some privacy. Mia hit me on the arm as she was red like a tomato.
"Why did you have to ask about that? How can I face him again?" Mia said as she buried her face in her hands. I chuckled at her cute gesture before taking her hands into mine. I kissed it gently as I looked into her slate orbs.
"He wants what is mine. Of course, I have to set boundaries," I said as I caressed her cheek.
"Marco should be here any second now," Mia said as she was packing up my stuff, even though it was just the clothes that I wore last night. She brought me a new set of clothes to change into and she also asked me to shower since I stank, she said.
"You're ready?" She asked as she went to my side. I looked around the room for my stuff but there was none.
"I guess I am," I said as I looked at him.
"Okay lovebirds, let's get moving," Marco came through the room and gestured for us to get out as quickly as possible.
"Okay, okay, we're coming," Mia said as she helped me to get to the parking lot and into the back seat of the car.
"I will fasten your seatbelt, so tell me when it hurts, okay?" Mia said concerned as she drew the seatbelt and put it on. I smiled at her kind gesture before she went to the driver's seat and Marco was getting inside the passenger seat.
"She would not let me drive if I ride with her," Marco said that making Mia glare murderously at him. He held up his hand as a surrender before I burst out loud. Mia started the ignition and drove out of the parking lot of the hospital.

"Bye, Marco, and make sure that the organization did not know about my uncle," Mia shouted from the car as Marco got out of the car.
"Yes, of course. Who do you think I am? I am not a little bird," he said as he knocked on the window before Mia went out of the way in front of the hotel where he was staying.
"Are we going back to the hotel?" I asked Mia as she was driving on some unfamiliar roads that I don't recognize before. She looked at me through the rearview.
