Mia Duncan's POV

"There! Over there!" I said as we went to see the old warehouse not far from the organization's headquarters. Anna and Liam were looking at them as it was very strange.

"Alright, this might get ugly. Anna, you stay put. I can't risk you getting hurt. I need you to stay here, in the car," I said as I went out of the car. Liam got out as well.

The warehouse was dark and mysterious as no lights were coming out of the building. I looked at Liam as he looked at me and nodded. I went to the trunk of the car and opened it. The trunk was filled with guns and weapons that Liam and I can use to save Marco.

"Pick your weapon, Hunt," I said as I looked at him. He smirked at me as he looked at the guns in the trunk.

"Hmm, this is hard. They have everything that I used to like," he said as he picked up a Glock .9 mm. He examined it as he pointed it to test it out.

"But I like the current weapon just fine," he said as he pointed the Glock at me and was closing one eye. I smirked at him.

"And why is that?" I asked as I leaned at the car.

"It talks and also does a very good at the dirty work," he whispered as he pulled me closer to him.

"I'm sure you will be just fine with that weapon only," I whispered back at him as I touched his chest.

"I am," he said before he perked my lips and took the Dragunov. I looked at him, arching my eyebrow at him.

"I'll stick with the old one," he said before winking at me and carrying the bag.

"Mia," Anna said as she went out of the car.

"Let me help you, please. I need to get to Marco," she said as she looked at us. I was strapping myself with the daggers and guns onto my body. I was thinking that Liam would be on the lookout and I will be on the ground.

"Please, Mia. Marco is in this situation because of me. I need to redeem myself," she said as I was about to walk away from her. After I heard what she said, I sighed. I looked over my shoulder to look at her and nodded at her.

"Fine, you can come but you must stay close to us. Don't stray from the plan," I said as I went to continue to equip myself. Anna was happy that I banned her to get any weapon.

"I have the location where Marco might be. Marina has come to me and Marco and she forced him to tell us about the organization and you," Anna said as we were walking toward the warehouse. I should have known that Marina would be using dirty work to get to me. I sighed as I was so used to her actions.

"It's fine, Anna. I know that she would come for me shortly. But I did not expect that she would be coming at me right now, after 6 years of her disappearance," I said as I looked up at the warehouse.

"I take the roof," Liam said as he went to his position. I perked his lips before his departure.

"Be careful," I whispered. He nodded before getting up to the roof of the building.

"Come," I said to Anna as we were getting into the warehouse. I kicked down the door as it would not budge when I pushed it.

"Stay close to me, Anna," I said as I switched on the light to the warehouse as we were walking through the door.

"This is unusual. I never knew there was a warehouse that the organization used before," Anna said as she was looking around. I was looking straight ahead as I wanted to make sure that no danger came across us.

"Yeah, they shut it down 3 years ago, after I killed the Croatian diplomat. Well, I am not proud of it but they used the funding that was illegal from the accounts of the diplomat and used to build the new facilities that we have been using for the last 3 years," I said as we came to 3 separate doors. We stopped as I looked at Anna to show me the way.

"It was on the left," she said. I arched an eyebrow at her as to how she knew about it.

"Marina brought me here as well but she believed that I was not an asset to you, so she let me go," Anna said as we went through the left door. It was dark and murky. I tried to communicate with Liam as he would not know where we were now.

"I have your position, loud and clear," Liam's voice said into the earpiece. I smirked after I heard his reply.

"Let's go," I said to Anna as we went deeper and deeper into the warehouse. It has a lot of rooms that used to be the training center for us and how we would be spending most of our time here.

"How long have you been with the organization?" I asked her as I was walking ahead of her, trying to make a conversation with her.

"I have been working for 2 years now. I am the head of the research at the headquarters," Anna replied as we came into a quiet, dark room. Only my torchlight was shining through it.

"How did you get to know Marco?" I asked her as she was having a lot of emotions when Marco's name was mentioned. She was quiet. I looked at her as to why she was being distant. She looked down at the ground.

"Sorry if you don't want to talk about him, it's okay. I know how it is to have a forbidden love relationship," I said, chuckling as I went to get the door. I closed the lights as I mentioned to Anna to put the night goggles on.

"Shh," I said as I crawled on the ground to reach for the door.

"Is the line clear inside, Liam?" I asked, whispering in the dark.

"There was 2 person that was guarding the door. Be careful, love,"' he said as he was getting ready for anything that went wrong.

"Roger that," I said as I kicked the door and took down the guards. I broke their necks and they did not move after they dropped to the ground. My heart ached as I wished not to kill anymore but I did anyway.

"Let's go," I said as I went to the screen panels. I looked at the security cameras and Marco was located in the east wing. We were now in the west wing.

"Let's go. I know where he is," I said before I looked at Anna. She was held by the guards and she was unconscious.

"Mercy of lords," I whispered before the guards were attacking me, I took out the dagger and threw it at them. They dropped to the ground and released Anna from their grip.

"Why did not you tell me there were guards?" I asked her as I went to her side.

"They were lightning fast. I don't even see them coming," she said as I helped her to get onto her feet and went out of the room.

"Let's go, I know where Marco's exact location," I said as we were running out of the control room and onto the west wings.

We encountered more guards on our way and as usual, I was the one that needed to kill them all. Anna was not useless after all. She had brought her kit to kill the guard, more like make them go to sleep.

"I always bring it when I walk home at night," she said as she brought pepper spray and a syringe that contained sleeping pills.

We were running toward the room and I kicked down the door. Marco was being strapped to the wall with chains on both hands and feet.

"Anastasia! Mia! You came back. I thought I would die here," he said as I went to work on the chains as Anna was checking for injuries.

"No bruises. Thank god!" Anna said as she was smiling at Marco. Marco also smiled at her but did not reach his ears. I let Marco out and he came running at me.

"Oh Mia, thank you so much," he said as he pulled me into a bear hug. I was surprised as he was squeezing me.

"Okay, my pleasure. But now you just squeeze me to death," I said with my voice restrained.

"Oh, sorry," he said before he went to kiss me. I stopped him as I saw Anna was looking at us.

"Where's Marina?" I asked. Marco looked at me as if it was a strange question.

"I thought you already defeated her," Marco said.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"Well, you saved me, right?" Marco said as he looked at Anastasia. She was looking at the ground. I grunted before I went out of the room. There's only one place that she might be right now and I don't like it one bit.
